Ever? Where did you grow up? Remember, city limits do not define what a suburb is, but the way your neighborhood is built.

First in a dirt poor ghetto town on a Reservation, and then later in a suburban part of Bismarck, ND. But I'll never live in a suburb ever again, and in fact have said that once I graduate, I'll never live in a city with less than 300,000 people.

You realize of course that there are plenty of suburbs with more than 300,000 people.

Plenty?

Virginia Beach, VA
Mesa, AZ

uh....

2 isn't plenty.

There's also only about 60 cities in the US with over 300,000 people. I highly doubt even a third of those are suburbs (and that's being generous, try around 1/5). But even if it is a third, then that's only about 20. Not plenty.

Note the word Choice and words "American Suburbs". Suburbia is quite a different beast in different places around the world - even though it gets pretty much the same portrayal (probably due to US cultural dominance.)

And they live in stereotypical American-style suburbs.

I'll also never living in an area with a median income over $40k (adjusted for inflation), regardless of how much I make. I don't care if I get a $200k/year job.

Yes, Gully is making no sense here (not that that's unusual):

So you'd refuse to ever live in Manhattan?

I'd live in one of the poorer areas of it. I hate wealthy areas (and I don't care i they're liberal either, the general culture I find repulsive).

Well also adjustments for cost of living can be made, but I refuse to live in a wealthy area. I've actually felt physically sick before driving through affluent areas.

Under what definition of "suburb" would I not be living in a suburb?

Nah, didn't know much about you. Just figured you weren't a suburb type guy. *shrugs*

Why? He's a prude who doesn't care about indie amenities or strip clubs and is absolutely terrified at the slightest bit of crime. Gabu would probably sh!t his pants if someone drew a gang symbol on the entry door to his apartment building. Like someone did to mine. About two weeks ago. And it's still there. Proving how much people in my building care about it.

What part do you think is sarcasm?

However, no, none of it is sarcasm.

I don't have a house.

Gabu doesn't like strip clubs or alcohol.

And that makes him a prude how?

If that doesn't make him a prude, what does make someone a prude?

Isn't it more like Camden or East St. Louis than actual suburbs?

PS: I see gang symbols often in public bathrooms downtown.  I don't pay them much attention.  I apologize for not living up to your idealization.

But that's not where you live though. If it was where you lived would you care more?

Gully was owned the same way Naso often is when he says something blatantly incorrect and is immediately shot down, such as when he says that the 1968 and 1952 elections are proof America won't vote for an anti-war candidate.

He made an inaccurate statement due to having never seen anything that would have told him otherwise.  I really think you're the only one who cares.  It would be one thing if he did not admit error, but he immediately did... you know, kind of like how rational people operate.

But he didn't back down from the inaccurate statement after be rebuked. After I told him you live in a suburb he made that nonsensical statement to defend his claim which I still don't understand after reading several times...of course he does that a lot such as how he claims he can have conservative views and yet still be 0% conservative and how loving alcohol and strip clubs somehow makes you conservative.
