What Nevada Democrat could have beaten Ensign in 2006?  The only one who immediately comes to mind is Oscar Goodman, though if Shelley Berkley had decided to run she could have made it close.

What does everyone else think?

No and no.

Neither would have been ideal candidates against Ensign.  Certainly a race wiht Mayor Goodman would have been interesting but interesting in the sense that Katherine Harris' campaign was interesting...

If NV-02 nominee Jill Derby had run, though, it could have been much closer.
