...the hell? I actually waved my arms around in exasperation. Someone just gave me a look. But, I mean, seriously? What? How is this at all compatible with your melange of religious "beliefs"? And in your grandmother's house?

I mean, it's a bit different with my grandmother living on another continent and whatnot, but I could never conceive of watching pornographic material in my grandmother's house, particularly if said aged grandmother cooked and cleaned for me. Then again, I struggle to conceive either of the former, or the latter, which seems even more morally repugnant.

You are a despicable human being, I think I it is safe to say. No one, those "relations" included, should be having an 89 (?) year-old woman regularly cook and clean after them. Maybe it's an Ethiopian thing (the Ghanaians, at least according to my father, prefer to spend heavily on their elderly after their deaths), but I can hardly think of anything more vile and base than that. Is the seventy per cent of the native Cameroonian population that is already Christian somehow not good enough at evangelizing the thirty per cent that isn't, or not good enough at translating into their own native languages? It's generally considered a better idea to focus on translating into one's mother tongue than out of it (or, in the case of the Bible, between two languages neither of which is one's mother tongue).

Bushie, how are you doing at this current job? Are they happy with your work?

Bushie, do you realize you have delayed Papa's retirement by years?  The poor guy has to work with a bad back for several extra years because you can't get out of his checkbook. Ugh.

Actually, that's not true.  He didn't start working at this current company until 1999 and needs to get 20 years in to have any kind of retirement.  That would be 2019.  He said he plans to work until he turns 70 which would be in 2022.
