Horror is my number one genre because it's nearly always a reliable good time, even if the movie is bad, in which case it becomes a comedy.

The other four I like are Animated/Pixar (2), Kids coming of age films (3), Sci-fi/dinosaurs/space (4), and historical epic/drama (5).

Feel free to write-in a genre that I missed

Voted for animated, historical, science fiction, and war.  Would also vote for dark comedy if it were an option (e.g., Dr. Strangelove, Pulp Fiction, Fargo, Big Lebowski, Heathers, etc.)

Picking just 5 of these is very difficult. Like choosing 11 children.

(I like movies, a lot)

Animated is NOT a genre, it is a medium in its own right. Therefore I vote for it in protest rather than as truth.

The truth is closer to what Enduro said.

P.S. Where's "Superhero" on this? There's enough of them at this point for it to count.

Voted the VERY strange "Sci-Fi" category, LOL.  I've become ridiculously picky with movies and series lately (which is unfortunate), in that the only ones that really peak my interests are existential ones that are really "pushing the limits" RE: what's possible, the nature of reality, a higher meaning to things, etc.  Needless to say, this comes along only once in a while and hardly describes all science fiction.  These would be examples of movies/series that I loved and fit this category:

Interstellar
Arrival
Inception
The Leftovers
Lost
Westworld
Man in the High Castle
