Alternate history scenario here. Let's say that Pelosi never makes her "absolutely off the table" remark with regard to the possible impeachment of President Bush in 2007. The Democrats now hold the House and the Senate, and a representative (let's face it, it's probably going to be Dennis Kucinich) introduces articles of impeachment against the President . Stunningly, it passes the House and the trial begins in the Senate.

You are a member of the United States Senate. I am not going to provide the details on how said impeachment trial went, although you can probably imagine that yourself and take that into consideration when casting your vote. Should 2/3rds of everyone voting vote to convict the President, he will be removed from office. You have 3 days to cast your vote.

As for me - Aye (I/O)

Anything that involves Cheney being President is a definite "No No" for me, even if it allows Dubya to stay on.

Most likely yes on some of those articles, but it'd be hard for me, as a member of Congress, to impeach the president for doing anything Congress gave him their approval to do, even if it isn't constitutional, and a few of those articles like on Medicare and the 2004 elections are ridiculous.

I'd rather impeach Cheney, but I would still vote for impeachment.

Interesting that I/O is the only group that clearly favours the cause of justice. A lot of right-wing Democrats out there.

Like I said, anything that involves President Cheney is a big No No.

Nay. I honestly don't what leg the Aye's have to stand on on this one.

What high crimes or misdemeanors did George Bush commit during his Presidency that could be proven? Lying isn't a crime unless under oath. Never mind that most of those articles are asinine to begin with. I mean c'mon, "Systematically Undermining Efforts to Address Global Climate Change", "Misleading Congress and the American People in an Attempt to Destroy Medicare"? Seriously? Even taken at partisan face-value those aren't crimes. And technically speaking neither are any of the others that can be proven.

This is just as bad (okay, maybe not quite) as those right-wing morons who say "Obama should be impeached for lyin' and bein' a socialist because OBAMACARE!!11!"

Bush should have been impeached on January 20th, 2001, since his election was predicated on a fraud.

Ever hear of the Iraq War?

How about torture?

Six Democrats need to change their avatars, me thinks.

Along with every SCOTUS Justice that voted to install him as President.

It's hard to know for sure without actually seeing what the grounds are, along with how the trial goes.

Lean Aye, but only if Cheney is impeached as well.
