Friday before the election, but early voting was extremely limited back then compared to what it is now.  If there is a final hit on Trump, I think it drops the morning after Halloween.  Early voting ends this Friday in most states that have it.
I think they are smart to withhold it until the latest moment possible. Early voters are less swayable people in general, and you can never trust the American attention span.

I don't think there will be a November surprise. But there will be an awful lot of things which people claim are a November surprise.

If the emails fiasco hasn't impacted the polls (and we wait to see if it has, but early indications are that it's made little difference), despite nearly three whole days of media hysteria, then nothing else will.

In any case, as I've said elsewhere, it's unlikely anything will be surprising enough to be surprising from this point on.

Again, if the surprise is Trump pushing for an abortion, Utah instantly becomes Likely McMullin and Idaho might be a toss up.  Maybe it's McMullin himself who has the oppo and this is how Wilson convinced him to enter the race at the last minute?
