Cuomo denies that he's thinking about 2016:

Karl said on This Week that he thinks Ryan will run.
Rove has no credibility. And he's only saying this to increase speculation for Ryan, hoping it pressures him to run.

I assume he means Jonathan Karl, not Karl Rove.

Even less credibility.

Cruz's is the most insincere sounding denial we've heard in a long time.

Chris Cillizza says that Schweitzer passed on the Senate race "in part because he wants to keep his eye on 2016, according to people familiar with his decision making":

RCP on Iowa Pubs being meh on Ryan, though also noting there's room for improvement.

Trump is visiting Iowa soon, and talks to National Review about the fact that he's mulling whether to run in 2016:

That was actually booked before Lautenberg's death, and the subsequent Senate campaign, and Booker has now cancelled the trip:

http://blogs.desmoinesregister.com/dmr/index.php/2013/07/29/2016-watch-cory-booker-is-coming-to-iowa-aug-29/article

Klobuchar's still the only 2016er on the Democratic side to visit Iowa since November.  Whereas virtually all of the Republican 2016ers have done so.

Hollywood is making a movie about Hillary... NBC is making a miniseries about Hillary... CNN is making a documentary about Hillary...

does anyone else think this is a bit much?

I know she's the horse to bet on, but still Tongue

Howard Dean says he's open to another presidential bid, and fires something of a warning shot against Hillary Clinton, saying she won't run for the nomination unopposed (perhaps suggesting that he might oppose her):

I don't think anyone expected Hillary to be the only candidate in the race, Mr. Dean.

A further distinction. Booker was still a candidate for Senate when this was confirmed, but the belief at the time was that the only election for that office would be in November 2014.

I really want to like him, but he's so bland. If he had given Deval Patrick's speech last year, he'd be the top Democratic choice behind Hillary.
