Too bad we didn't know about this in advance, or one of us could have called into the show, to ask about adding Torie as a mod to Individual Politics.

Given how slow Dave was to make mod changes in the past, putting the request in in 2004 would have been useful.

Too bad we didn't know about this in advance, or one of us could have called into the show, to ask about adding Torie as a mod to Individual Politics.

It took me like 20 seconds to find his home phone number if you feel like giving him a call.

Don't give it to Phil, or he might start calling Dave to have him de-mod Inks!

Is he really not talking to you guys even though he's been pretty active in the last two weeks?

That's correct.  I think Nym first contacted him about making Torie a mod in late April or early May.  He never responded, after repeated attempts to get an answer from him.  He hasn't communicated with us about anything moderation-related since then either.  (The last moderator change before that was in March or something?  I guess that's the last time we've heard from him.)

He's obviously still posting polls, and commenting on things like 2012 endorsements, but as far as moderation goes, we're on our own.  Which means that we all apparently have lifetime appointments, since he's the only person who can make moderator changes.  (Though maybe when it's time to create a 2016 board, he'll realize that a decision needs to be made about who will moderate it.)
