And "capitalist" South Korea has a universal health insurance program far more comprehensive than what the ACA does.

David Brat is a moron. It's troubling to think this man was awarded a PhD and a university faculty position.
Im so glad you acknowledge PhDs are only rewarded to the financially viable on whose head the square hat fits.  The graduation ceremony is capped offby an illustration that the circle (your head) has been squared.

That's why all schools are so nervous about the kids throwing the hat off afterwards (they outlaw it or threaten fines for not finding your square again).  My school said throw the hat off but you must turn in a hat.  So be sure to scramble for one against your fellow graduates lest you be fined!

Grad school:  Finishing school for squares.

Really?  We got to keep our hat.  Had to return the robe, but the hat (ahem, mortarboard Tongue) was ours.
That's why you live in NY and I live in bumfinks nowhere.  Your family paid for the hat.  We could merely rent.  The less worthy don't even get to graduate.

True story:  my mom was adopted and raised in the Cleaver household...a good Christian home.  In a bad fight in which she told her dad she wanted her real parents instead, my grandpa pointed out had her mom been pregnant then, she would've been an abortion.

My mom was very pro life despite being pro choice in the end.  (As in CHOOSE no)...and wrote a report on her opposition to Roe v Wade in a required fluff home ec style class in 12th grade.  The teacher failed her from the class for it.  The teacher was a strong abortion advocate.

This meant she couldn't graduate.  So the principal said "you can walk the graduation line if you promise to make up the class in summer school"

She made history by telling the principal to f**k off and walked out of the office.  She skipped the ceremony and graduated anyway.  She never wore the square.

I miss my mom a lot.
