My passport just recently expired, and I need a vacation sooner than I can get it renewed. Otherwise, out of the country was certainly an attractive option.
Ok. And I'm sorry I said 'dumb', ass. 
Reminds me of that joke... not really translatable into English because in German, "pig" as an insult can have sexual connotations or just mean idiot, depending on the context.
