King's take on TexasGurl

An example of how to be far left without being an annoying virgin.

Even Manchin supports raising the minimum wage.

I'm honestly embarrassed that we couldn't have found someone better to primary him in 2008. If I'm an AR Democrat I'm voting Green.

I hope this doesn't turn into a Blanche Lincoln situation, where Rachel Maddow said it best. There's one thing to be a moderate or conservative minded Democrat, and another thing to just not want to be a Democrat. I hope Pryor doesn't go so far as Blanche and look like he just doesn't want to be a Democrat.

He already is.

I hope Cotton routs him.

I can take his stances on gay marriage and background checks. While they're important, they aren't exactly pressing issues in the long run.

Minimum wage? This is unforgivable. As far as I'm concerned Pryor is no longer a Democrat.

These are all so true about Pryor that I couldn't post just one here. Tongue

All the Democrats here hoping Pryor loses are even dumber than the Tea Party.

Seriously, I don't like him either. But a vote for Reid as majority leader is valuable, especially in a year where the majority is at risk.

Edit: I like Pryor myself, but the general point here is good.

Yeah... there are legitimate reasons to dislike Pryor, both for the left and right, but literally conceding a seat just because you don't like the Democrat holding it is one of the dumbest things you can do.

This is an election where you're voting for the lesser of two evils.  Plain and simple.

The fact that TR is going to have a lower approval % than Garfield and Arthur is a joke.

I don't know about this one, actually. What is the point of having a majority thats hollow? Having 51 Senators when only 49 vote for your side? I'd rather spend the money in the Grimes-McConnell race if I were a Democrat.

A third of Americans continue to use Windows XP, an operating system that is well over a decade old, while a $2,000 Macbook Pro is effectively out of reach for the typical American household budget.

That's because WinXP works just fine and Macintosh products are crap.

Legitimate question: why are all of our Latin American posters awful right-wingers?

Why would the fascists need to start an uprising in Venezuela? They have been in power for the last 15 years. Against whom would they be rebelling?

I think ag and deadflagblues have been burdened with the knowledge of basic economics.

As someone who's spent the last two days in Windows hell, scouring the planet for "drivers", I can confirm that is by no means "truth".

With Christie in trouble, Romney is the strongest candidate the Republicans have. The party needs him to run again.

Oh, please do. It would be so funny.

It really isn't. I'm going to install Mac OS X on my Asus PC because I much prefer it to Windows. (And yes to the computer challenged, that can be done. Tongue)

I've had that problem too. I still find it preferable to having to use a Mac.

^^^ The idea that we should base the organization of our judicial system on cases like Breivik is one of the main reasons why judicial systems around the world (and particularly in the US) are so horrible.

I'd like to see Bill Nye debate Richard Lindzen or Anthony Watts.  But this little public spectacle will no doubt give Nye the ego boost he's looking for.  Blackburn is an idiot.

First you insult southerner's reactions to a crippling ice storm, now this...
Put him on ignore like the rest of us have.
Anyway, good luck to Bill Bye, hopefully he wins again.
Ummm, only toolbags would put Snowguy on ignore.

The Democrats aren't to the right of all European Parties (obviously), but they're to the right of most Conservative Parties in Europe.

No.

Romney doesn't even come close to Dewey and Dukakis. The first had it in the bag, so he relaxed and sat back, allowing Truman to pull his historic upset. The second led by a double-digits till the last couple of months, just to lose by a landslide.
