A question for all those who are voting for W:

Why not Nixon or GHWB?  What makes W the worst Republican since Harding?

Did ever pay attention to anything we've been saying about Bush? You can scrap the Republican since Harding part.

This isn't DU.  You can't just say "Bush is the worst president ever" without justifications and expect people here to blindly agree.

We haven't even eliminated John Q. Adams or Martin Van Buren yet. Or Garfield, or Arthur, or B. Harrison!

I just got a quick announcement to make.   A few rounds ago we had a contreversial vote, I'm sure most of you know which one I'm talking about.    Now if that round had come down to one vote, I would have been in a real mess in trying to determine whether or not to count that vote.   And no matter which way I would have gone, one side would have felt screwed.    Fortunantly, there was enough difference in the vote count that it wouldn't have mattered anyways.

But just in case an incident ever comes up like this in the future, I've asked two people (one a democrat and the other an independent) to judge along with me whether to count that vote.   Hopefully, we wont have anymore controversies over votes and I'll never have to call on these guys for their judgements.    But if one ever does, and the outcome of a round hinges on the controversy, then I will have  Emsworth (a democrat), and Liberty (an independent), along with myself (a republican) to judge the controversy.   This way we'll have one from each side and hopefully everyone will be happy.    Like I said, hopefully we won't have anymore controversial votes and I'll never have to ask these guys to judge anything.     Smiley

To compare Dubya and FDR is absurd.

I agree. GWB has done some bad things, like that Medicare bill, but he's nowhere near as bad as FDR.

Yes, I know. Bush is hated by far more people than FDR is.

Agreed.  And I know the perfect revenge.

Next round, we're taking down Reagan.
