Give it a year. If Pussgrabber isn't gone, we'll be looking back on the halcyon days of February when all he and his regime did was issue rants on twitter, buff the police state a bit, claim they were immune to the law, and dabble in Holocaust denial on the side.

Just a drive-by snipe here, but who in heck names their kid Reince? (I still don't know how to say it.)

And with a last name like that, no wonder he's messed up.

So how do you pronounce Reince? I've never heard of it before.

As difficult as trump may be to work for / defend, I think he could have found more competent people than the entourage he assembled. Maybe all the better people said no, but these people are stupid and/or arrrogant.

I do agree with you. I think had Trump specifically prized competency instead of loyalty and other gut feelings (he himself as said he operates this way), he probably could have put together a competent and effective administration. But I think it's part that and part what you alluded to - many people probably did say no. Trump was so controversial and scandal-plagued throughout the campaign that it wouldn't be surprising if many people wanted nothing to do with him. He will be there at least 4 years, and maybe only 4 years, and yet the people who sign on to work for him will likely have much longer careers. Long-term, it would have probably been a bad choice.

But as I was saying before, I think Trump himself makes it impossible for even the best team to run an administration on par with past moderately successful admins. He's too volatile, makes bad decisions, says too many ridiculous things, lies too much and is way too inconsistent.

If the white nationalist take full power (the Bannon and Miller wing) then the White House's historic norms, customs, and rules are all pretty much out the window.    They'll probably want to greatly expand what executive orders can do and become much more forceful with Congress.

What's incredibly insane is despite it being totally crazy...Trump's approval floor is so ludicrously rock solid at around 40% that there really won't be all that much the Republican majorities in Congress can do to stop them.     They'll all be too terrified of being attacked by their constituents back home.

Make Reince resign, replace with a Bannonite.
Yeah, this. Replace him with Miller.

God, I'd rather lose 20 elections in a row than have you rubes gain any more influence in this party.

Priebus should hope and pray that he gets publicly tossed overboard ASAP. That way he might get to escape some of the blame when the Hindenburg-in-waiting has its inevitable flaming crash.

as much as I hate to "defend" Reince Priebus, the top of the ticket is the problem, not Reince.

Pretty much. No matter who they put in as CoS, problems with inevitably arise again because Trump isn't fit to be president - his temperament, his poor decision-making skills, his penchant for picking incompetent staff, his desire for chaos, his inability to let even the smallest slights go and all these unpopular policies, they all contribute to what will probably remain a failed presidency.

-Thus said the Whigs about Jackson. And look what happened!

Genocide?

I still remember Trump inviting Priebus on to the stage during his victory speech, and he was reluctant to say the least. I think part of him knew that embracing Trump would not end well for him.

You rock Tom.

Anyways, not sure why anyone who supports Trump and wants him to succeed would look at the last few weeks and deduce that what is needed is more Bannon

I’m no fan of Priebus, but he’s miles better than the sleazy right-winger.

If he’s leaving, he should be replaced by John Miller. He will make a terrific Chief of Staff. That’s gona so yuuge.

We need to keep the movement conservatives- and not the nationalists- advising President Trump.  I don't necessarily think people like Bannon are racists or white supremacists, but they do not represent my ideology, either!

Probably the first time I agree with you, ExtremeRepublican.

Looks like Priebus's time is limited.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/02/14/flynn-resigns-priebus-future-doubt-trump-allies-circulate-list-alternate-chief-staff-candidates/

Feels funny citing Breitbart News...but meh..maybe it shows Bannon is gunning for him.
