I'm not sure where he is now, since his fairly recent sift in religious views. I'm guessing he is still some form of socially conservative Republican, just a bit less extreme than before?

A Republican who's more focused on economics than most traditional "social" issues. A "fiscal conservative", for lack of a better term.

The username is pretty self explanatory, although I do find his political views an interesting juxtaposition to his religion, since "libertarian" is probably the last thing I associate with Islam.
