Multiple FIFA bigwigs arrested and extradited from Switzerland to face federal corruption charges in the US. Bribery related to marketing deals and World Cup host selection.

So when the US doesn't win it simply arrests foreigners on RICO charges?

In 2010, the United States made a bid to host the 2022 World Cup, with Bill Clinton as its honorary chairman. When Bill received word that the US lost out to Qatar's bribery, he was reportedly so enraged that he literally vandalized his hotel room. Some say that his wrath didn't end that day - and only now is Bill's Revenge at hand. I guess the Swiss never heard: you don't cross a Clinton.


Seriously though it says so much about FIFA's institutionalized corruption that the prosecution is literally charging them like they're the mob

If both 2018 and 2022 get re-votes, USA is probably the only country with the infrastructure available to organize an entire world cup in less than three years. Hell, the state of Texas alone has enough stadiums to do it
