IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM GOV. HOWARD DEAN (D-VT)

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have served as a governor of this great state for 8 years. And it has come to my attention that people have declared their candidacy for President already! Now, I watched that idiot: Donald Trump *applause*. Yes, I watched his announcement speech and I saw him saying "Oh, Al Gore, he's bad. He didn't do stuff that made sense." Now, I may disagree with Al Gore on many issues, but I at least think eh deserves credit. However, I don't think he can win this election, and I think I can!

America, if you want someone to continue on in Mr. Gore's footsteps and keep the country on the right track, Howard Dean is your guy. I have done great things for the people of Vermont - i have helped the uninsured, the underprivileged. And I will do the same for this nation! I will help you, the people.

And that is why, ladies and gentlemen, in this coming election season of 2000, I will seek the Democratic nomination! Good day, everyone, and make sure to vote Dean!

Howard Dean Interview Questions:

What is your stance on the legalization of same sex marriage?

I would support it, but not push the Supreme Court to uphold it, nor would I force a constitutional amendment. In the end, though, an ideal world would have it legalized, yes.

What is your stance on abortion?

I am fully in support of a woman's right to choose.

What is your stance on NAFTA?

I am all for better relations with our allies, especially those we share a border with. I may have some minor changes that I would like to make to the bill, but in general i would support it.

Do you approve of President Gore?

I understand it isn't easy to take the role of president after the previous one resigns, and it must have been hard for him, but Mr. Gore is trending a little too liberal for me, and not reaching across the aisle to Congress Republicans enough.

Who do you most like in the republican field?

I think Ron Paul and John McCain are both admirable men who have done good work in the Senate. I think between them, I agree with Mr. Paul more, but Mr. McCain is a strong candidate who I deeply respect.

What is your strategy to win the White House?

I will campaign ferociously in early states like Delaware and New Hampshire and hope to gain momentum and win the Western states. Then, once nominated, I will push my centrist agenda and show my willingness to work with members of both parties by appearing with both Democratic and Republican leaders on the trail.

Governor Dean, how will you use your experience as Governor of Vermont to appeal to the U.S electorate if nominated?

Well, Vermont has become much more successful in my time as governor and what people ant to see is results. So I will show them these results, and they'll know I can do the same for the great nation of the US.

What is your stance on NAFTA?

NAFTA is a great proposal and i will see my best to introduce it.

Why do you have the stance you do on abortion?

If a woman chooses that life will not be good for her child, why should we question that.
