In all the exit polls I've seen, for this election or previous ones, I've never seen a breakdown of the vote by type of employment, let alone public vs private workers.  I'd venture to guess that a significant chunk of the upper middle income category that votes Democratic are public employees.  On the other hand, how many white, Christian, southern, medium sized business owners vote Democratic?
