Title: MA-Rasmussen: Gov. Patrick trails Mihos by 5 but is slightly ahead of Baker

Christy Mihos (R): 40%
Deval Patrick (D): 35%

Deval Patrick (D): 40%
Charlie Baker (R): 39%

In a match-up with Mihos, Patrick picks up 56% of the Democratic vote. Against Baker, the governor earns 66% support from his own party. Both Republicans have the backing of more than 75% of GOP voters. Voters not affiliated with either party favor either of the Republicans by 30 points over Patrick.

Patrick Approval & Favorable Ratings:

39% Approve
60% Disapprove

40% Favorable
56% Unfavorable

This state telephone survey of 500 Likely Voters in the state of Massachusettes was conducted by Rasmussen Reports on August 20, 2009. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

No three-way, and for some reason Rasmussen loves himself some Mihos.

It puts the race in interesting context, I guess.  But other than use as a fun fantasy what-if, the poll is useless.
