Antonio V, if you were so disturbed and emotionally damaged by tb's spelling error instead of keeping quiet about it until he misspelt again you should've brought it to his attention like so:


And tb, I don't think anybody is asking too much or insulting your character just by pointing out a spelling error.  Usually most reasonable posters when made aware of their spelling errors go back and re-edit the post to make it better, unless of course your intent was to spell Greeley's name incorrectly (which still wouldn't make your "HEY JACKASS!!!" response rational in any sense of the term).

Jeez, the man managed to lose an election against a very unpopular President, and he has the charisma of a doorknob...I've met him.

Wasn't Bush approval in the high 40's or low 50's when the election in 2004 rolled around? That doesn't sound like "very unpopular". But i could be wrong, of course, my recollections of those times are sketchy at best :P

Yep, that wasn't the Dubya of 2008 (or of 2005-2008 to be more precise...).
Kerry wasn't a very good candidate but he wasn't so bad, given the fact that he was a "lib'rul from Massachusetts" and he had to face personal attacks on his military past.
And he really tried to convince McCain to be his running mate ;).

Kerry won the biggest amount of Dem votes of the time.
The GOP GOTV ops were even more efficient than those of the Dems, that's all.
