Post by: WalterMitty on October 29, 2004, 02:41:50 PM
what are your thoughts on jesse johnson and his mountain party candidacy for governor of WV?

i watched the debate and clearly he is smarter than the two major party candidates running.

is this mountian party just a west va version of the green party?

Not as far as I'm aware (Nader ran on the Green ticket in WV in 2000).
The Mountain Party began as single issue party (they're opposed to "Mountain Top Mining". Which for those who don't know is open cast mining on Mountain Tops...)

They appear to be similar to the Green party in platform, in any case, although they don't seem to have official positions on many social issues:

In a very specialised way, yes.
