Quote
An argument  between a cashier and two irate customers at a Manhattan McDonald’s turned violent, leaving both customers injured and all three facing charges.

The entire incident, which was captured on video, happened Thursday morning at a McDonald’s on West Fourth Street in Greenwich Village, CBS 2’s Chris Wragge reports.

<snip>
Watch the video.  At first glance (and how the article and video is slanted) is that the dude went way way overboard.  Clearly the chicks F-ed up and will deserve whatever conviction they end up getting, but did they deserve broken bones and a bashed skull?  Would it make a difference if he was telling them to not get up and they kept trying to get up?  They were drunk and anybody could potentially be caring a weapon of some kind, in the heat of the situation it can be hard to tell when a threat stops becoming a potential threat.  I always give the benefit of the doubt to the person minding his/her own business when through no fault of their own assholes start giving him/her sh**t and him/her takes care of the situation using as much or as little violence they thought the situation demanded while they were there in the middle of the situation.  But obviously there is (and should be) a line.  Did this dude cross it?

So, huh, thoughts?

Unacceptable, even after the slap by the chick. What you do is call 911. In Greenwich Village, the cops should be there in about 90 seconds. Using that club is particularly execrable; he could have cracked a skull. The obnoxious customers had no weapons. The guy needs to go to jail for about a year to meditate on what went wrong with his life. The cashier apparently has a rap sheet.

He did crack a skull.  He did a dime for murdering a fellow classmate when he was in High School.  But it was a two on one attack on a dude doing his job though.  He didn't know they didn't have weapons and they were drunk/on drugs and clearly belligerent.
