The Yelnoc is running for senate!  What motivates him on this quixotic quest?  Why, the shear silliness of it all!  Below you can read my hastily constructed STOPSANITY plan.

Sillese English to be recognized as an official language alongside Forwordian English
The statutes list on the wiki will be edited so that all numbers in the list are prime
On my first day in office, I will sign a dozen executive orders, which will be written by my groupies
Political Parties shall be forcibly broken up by the government unless they can prove they stand for nothing
Stickies to be removed; if the people want to open up the board to a post about crack cocaine, let them
All campaigns must reference Monty Python for their candidacies to be considered legitimate by the SoFA
No campaign platform may consist solely of policy proposals, unless  the candidate's avatar is grey
If the prosecutor in a lawsuit lacks a credible charge, he may still win the suit through a duel
Those who refuse to duel open themselves to civil lawsuits
Yellow shall be given favored color status.  All text from here after shall be in yellow.

If anyone would like to make me a banner in Sillese, feel free.  You probably noticed that I didn't type everything above in Sillese.  This is simply because I have better things to do.  Sorry to interrupt.

For the benefit of the Forwordians, I will reply in that language...

1.  What makes me most qualified for the Senate?  My willingness to embrace the game as it is, a game.  Something to have fun with.  And for what it's worth, I was the longest serving Assemblyman in the IDS and co-authored the first regional budget with Emperor PiT.

2.  No, this would be my first term in the Senate.  I am, however, the only candidate to hold a federal office (SoIA and, technically, GM).

3.  My political history:

5.  Before the SPA, I was a member of CID.  I was a moderate, just like the other members.

The Honorable Oakvale has petitioned the senate to introduce a bill that would make the use of Sillese punishable by death!  This cannot be allowed to pass, for if it does, the Linguicidal elements of the Supreme Court will block our legal right to speech.  Weather you are a Sillesian or just a liberty-loving Atlasian, elect me so that I can smother the bill in shaving cream!

I have nothing against Sillese as long as you provide an English translation for those who are still not proficient enough in this curious language.

Yelnoc, I'm afraid I can't support a party that proposes the recognition of this language. I am sorry.

No such thing as too much fun in a Silly Party candidate's thread. The point is to have fun!

Though, I do understand that many are not proficient in Sillese, yet, I'm sure Yelnoc, who is a perfectly reasonably Silly fellow, will do so in the future. (Provided it warrants such) Fair enough? :)

It is perfectly fine for you Silly people to speak Sillese in the privacy of your own communities. However, attempting to create two national languages could split this nation apart as everyone will be forced into adopting and knowing fluently two languages. If you Silly people want to move here, you learn the language.

You don't have to speak both languages fluently, only one or the other.  And it would be no big deal to translate bills into Sillese; I will just toss together a Java app.

A flat tax of 20% starting with a $15,000 exemption, and no other exemptions of any sort
Along with the government giving everyone $15,000 a year just for being alive.

I just wanted to congratulate you on your great showing thus far! Even if you don't win, you've done us proud! :D

If the election were conducted under Borda count, Yelnoc would likely be the victor. He has won an impressive number of second preferences - all that matters now is whether he can best either Cincinnatus or Nathan in terms of first preferences. If he can do that, then he will become the nation's first Silly senator.

Not the first Loony one, however.
