On the Issues:
Abortion: Life is given us by the God. Only allow abortion in cases where the mother's life is at risk. Ban partial-birth abortion.

Goverment Spending: Deficit spending should be outlawed as overall government spending is reduced to minimal levels. Use less - receive more.

Education: School vouchers for everybody. Get the federal government out of education completely!

Energy: Reduce dependence from oil and coal, especially foreign. More research on alternate energy sources.

Enviroment: The environment is very important. Find market based solutions to environmental problems so our children can live in a clean and safe country.

Gun control: Any gun control legislation is an attack to safety of Atlasia. No restrictions on firearms!

Healthcare: The health care system should be completely private, it isn't a responsibility of the federal government.

Immigration: Stop all immigration completely. Deport illegal aliens and build massive security fence on Mexican and Canadian borders. Accept a detailed plan to fight illegal border crossing.

Defense Spending: Defense spending should be reduced so as to focus on other things. No overseas deployments without a reason.

Iran: We should prepare to attack Iran but be sure that we have the proper intelligence. Current regime is too radical and dangerous to own nuclear programme.

Military Intervention: We should intervene when our national interests are threatened. NO to resource wars!

Role of Goverment: The smaller and less activist the Government, the better the country. Government can run the military, the police, and the courts - that's it.

Trade: We need to encourage businesses to do whatever is necessary to generate profit, but consider new free trade deals VERY carefully and create incentives to keep jobs in Atlasia.

Tax Rates: A single rate flat tax for citizens, and a very low tax rate for corporations, but eliminate all loopholes and remove all small hidden taxes.

Marriage: Marriage is between a man and a woman. Support a constitutional ban on same-sex marriages.

Social Security: Let workers privately invest all retirement payments. Social Security System as now is a complete joke and should be reformed.

Unions: Unions are undermining our economy by blackmailing companies to overpay their workers. Find a solution to balance labor demands with business concerns.

War at Terror: We should not hesitate to use military force against terrorism, but NO to limiting civil liberties at home.

Feel free to comment :)

A 2,000-mile (3,200 km) double-line security fence between the Atlasia and Mexico

A federally legislated end to all social welfare benefits for illegal aliens, except for emergency medical services

A crackdown on major businesses that chronically hire illegal aliens and the elimination of deductibility for all wages paid to illegals

A policy allowing immigrants to bring in only wives and non-adult children

Ban of dual citizenship in the Atlasia

A deportation program beginning with all aliens convicted of felonies and every gang member who is not a citizen of the Atlasia

My Game Reform Plan:

2. Senate Reform - At-large senate seats abolished, instead two additional seats to the regions (15 members)

3. Set Senate terms to coincide with all presidential elections

4. Appoint all former Presidents and Vice Presidents to the new office of "National Senator"

5. Establish term limit in the Regional Legislatures and Senate - 1 year.

6. Extend SC Judges term to 1,5 year.

7. Extend Supreme Court to 10 members.

8. Fixes number of Regional Legislators - 10 members.

9. 50 Regional Legislators should meet 2 sessions in the year as members of National Assembly. One session = one week.

10. Cabinet Reform
10.1 - Secretary of Federal Elections renamed into the Head of Federal Electoral Comittee.
10.2 - Register General renamed into the Head of Federal  Statistics Service.
10.3 - Secretary of Internal Affairs position is abolished and his duties are re-shared between Secretary of National Defense, Secretary of State Treasury and Chief of Staff.

But The Trooper is about a soldier getting killed, which isn't exactly appropriate in an anthem for imperial conquest. I would suggest Asator by Amon Amarth instead.

Title: PINGVIN REPORT - SENATE
Post by: Pingvin on March 10, 2012, 10:47:07 AM
NO CLEAR LEADER; WRITE-INS GAINING THE STEAM
I can say that this race is one of the greatest that I will remember. Main reasons are the candidates:
1. Clarence - Veteran who is very popular among conservatives and conservative-leaning indies.
2. Earl - the guy who de facto represents far-left of Atlasian political spectrum.
3. (W) Oakvale - liberal icon who can very well become a first (correct me if I'm wrong) person elected to senate as write-in.
4. (W) Jbrase - a well-known politican who is popular for his honesty and multi-partisan work.
And one more note: winner of this senate race would most likely be our next president in June.

Pingvin on Healthcare:
1. National Healthcare Act should be repealed
2. All Atlasians receive a voucher each year to purchase a standard plan from the private-plan provider of their choice.
3. Vouchers are individually risk-adjusted; those with higher expected healthcare costs, based on documented medical conditions, receive larger vouchers.
4. Participating insurance companies providing standard plans cannot deny coverage.
5. Each year a panel of doctors sets the coverages of the standard plan subject to a strict budget, namely that the total cost to the government of the vouchers cannot exceed 10 percent of GDP.
6. Insurance companies providing standard plans contract with private providers to cover their plan participants.
7. Atlasians choose doctors and hospitals included in the standard plan they choose.
8. Plan providers compete and provide incentives to improve participants' health and limit bad health practices.
9. Plan providers offer supplemental plans to their participants and cannot deny supplemental insurance coverage to their participants.

11. The roughly 10 percent of GDP now spent or allocated by federal and state government on these and related programs, as well as on the tax exclusion of employer-provided health insurance premiums, is reallocated to help finance the vouchers.

Pingvin on Finances
1. Plan applies to all financial companies protected by limited liability. This includes incorporated commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, and private equity funds.
2. All financial companies protected by limited liability must operate exclusively as mutual fund companies that market mutual funds.
3. Mutual funds are not allowed to borrow and, thus, never fail.
4. Mutual fund companies required to also issue cash mutual funds, which hold only cash.
5. Cash mutual funds are used for the payment system.
6. Cash mutual funds are backed to the buck.
7. Mutual fund companies are not permitted to back money market or other non-cash mutual funds to the buck and can lose value.
8. A single regulator - the Federal Financial Authority (FFA) -- hires private companies that work only for it.
9. Companies working for FFA verify, appraise, rate, custody, and disclose, on the web and in real time, all securities held by mutual funds.
10. Mutual funds buy and sell FFA-processed and disclosed securities at auction. This ensures that issuers of securities, be they households or firms, receive the highest price for their paper (borrow at the lowest rate).
11. Allow housing lenders and mortgage companies to raise standards for loan qualifications.
12. Stricter laws regarding housing loan qualifications and consolidation.
13. Federal minimum wage laws should be kept.

Pingvin on Energy
1. Tax the burning of fossil fuels—coal, oil-based products such as gasoline, aviation fuel, and motor oil, and natural gas—in proportion to their carbon content or to their carbon-equivalent content (to deal with emissions of other gases contributing to climate change).
2. Use the proceeds of this carbon tax to quintuple R&D on clean energy and carbon capture and sequestration, provide transition assistance to workers and ongoing assistance to low-income households adversely affected by the tax, subsidize clean energy production and use, and reduce the deficit.
3. Adjust the level of the carbon tax to set a floor to the price of dirty energy. When the world price of dirty energy rises, the tax will be reduced. When the price of dirty energy falls, the tax will be raised.
4. Eliminate all existing subsidization of the production and exploration of dirty energy.
5. Set the initial carbon tax at $25 per metric ton of CO2. This will raise the price of gasoline at the pump by roughly 25 cents per gallon and generate approximately $100 billion in first-year revenue.
6. Increase the carbon tax by 5 percent above inflation each year for the next 30 years. By 2040, the carbon tax will raise the inflation-adjusted price per gallon of gasoline by an estimated $1.00.
7. If the weighted average wholesale price of dirty energy falls, raise the carbon tax to maintain its retail price on its projected desired path. If the weighted average wholesale price of dirty energy rises (for reasons other than monopoly pricing by OPEC), reduce the carbon tax to remain as close as possible to the desired dirty energy retail price path.
8. Maintain tough energy efficiency (CAFE) standards for motor vehicles.
9. Encourage other countries to adopt a carbon tax.
10. Impose dirty energy tariffs, in consultation with the World Trade Organization, on the importation of goods from countries not adopting and effectively implementing a significant carbon tax or the equivalent cap and trade policy. These tariffs would be set in light of the dirty energy content of the imports in question.
11. Goal is to find an alternative for oil by 2040.
12. 100,000 hydrogen powered vehicles by 2020.
13. Eliminate gas tax to lower gas prices by 50 cents per gallon.

Title: RESTORE ATLASIA NOW RALLY - MANCHESTER, NH
Post by: Pingvin on March 30, 2012, 02:48:23 AM
I wanted to come back home to Manchester today to make this speech, because it is here that I came to appreciate the miracle of Atlasia.

Today the Atlasian Dream is in danger, threatened by terrorists and tyrants from abroad and a weak economy that makes it harder to live a better life here at home.  For too many Atlasians the middle class is drifting out of reach.

I am confident that we as nation have what it takes to meet these challenges and renew the Atlasian Dream.  We can make it as real for you students who are here today as it was for me and my generation.  But that will only happen if our leaders are ready to lead, willing to fight for what’s right for the Atlasians, and able to rise above partisan politics to put our country first.

We must rise above partisan politics and put our country first to fix our economy and restore economic growth, because a strong middle class means a strong Atlasia.

We must rise above partisan politics to unite to defeat the threat of terrorism and make Atlasia safe again.

We must rise above partisan politics and restore independence to the Nyman, not compromise our economic, environmental, or health security for political contributors or extreme ideologies.

We must rise above partisan politics and stand up for our values here at home, because family, responsibility and faith matter more than power, partisanship, and privilege.

Today I am ready to rise above partisan politics to fight for the people.  I am ready to protect their security, revive their economy, and uphold their values. I am ready to win. And I intend to win.

In the coming days, I want to convince them that I have the strength, the vision, and the values to lead our nation to higher and safer ground.

In this campaign, I will talk about the tough fights ahead.  Strengthening homeland security.  Fixing our failing schools.  Restoring fiscal responsibility and expanding opportunity, with sensible tax cuts and sound investments that will bring back the prosperity.

I intend to talk straight to the Atlasian people. I will not hesitate to tell my friends when they are wrong -- and to agree with my opponents when they are right.

I know this will be a long journey across Atlasia for me, and we look forward to it.  Some mornings when I wake up, I may not know exactly where I am. But I promise you – I will always know exactly who I am and what I stand for.

Every day along the way I will feel blessed by God to live in a land where our dreams can become real.

My friends, we have great work to do to secure the hope of a better tomorrow for our beloved country.  Let us begin here.  Let us begin now.  And let us begin together.

Exactly how do you think Immigration hurts the economy?

There is actually a direct connection between immigration and economic growth and prosperity. Uncontrolled, illegal immigration is problematic because it floods the downscale wage markets driving already low wages down. The only way that applies to legal immigration is if the composition is too large ad proportionally composed of too many unskilled laborers.

Also, what is deductibility of wages paid to illegals?

Hiring illegals is against the law, so claiming a deductions for such would be tax fraud.

Title: RESTORE ATLASIA NOW RALLY - MIAMI, FL
Post by: Pingvin on March 31, 2012, 01:31:17 AM
I seek this Senate seat as a Whig who has worked throughout his career, in business and in public office, on behalf of the principles of Lincoln, Roosevelt and Eisenhower.

At the outset of this campaign, let me say that I am not running for Senate as a regional or factional candidate, but as a national candidate. I ask all registered voters of Atlasia to join me in a common effort to bring Atlasia the principled, stable leadership we must have in the our times.

As a national candidate, I will welcome the support of all Atlasians - Whigs, Liberals, Moderates, Independents and others -- in my campaign, to give Atlasia the new leadership needed to keep our country free prosperous and second-to-none in the years ahead.

For that kind of leadership, as we have seen in recent years, good intentions are not enough.

Let there be no mistake regarding the source of our country's current problems, at home and overseas.

It is a failure tied to the philosophy of tax-and-spend that has long dominated the minds of Nyman elites.

New foundations cannot be built on these old pilings. The problems that face Atlasia today are traceable to the reckless national leadership of past years.

When I was elected to the IDS Legislature, I spoke out against that reckless leadership.

Our problems today, both at home and overseas, are rooted in that era of "guns-and-butter, tax-and-spend."

I submit that those who contributed to the short-sighted policies of that era cannot be depended on to provide workable solutions to our current national dilemma.

But in any event, those solutions will not be quick or easy.

More important, it is time for we, the Atlasian people, to stop fooling ourselves.

We have learned that good intentions are not enough in a Senator. We should know too, that rhetoric is not enough to provide the kind of leadership our country needs and deserves.

As a candidate for Senate, I am not promising

-A new deal

-A new frontier

-A great society, or

-A new foundation.

But I do pledge a new candor.

To be effective, leadership  must be based on a politics of substance, not symbols; of reason, not bombast; of frankness, not false promise.

In short, those who seek the highest office in the land must level with the Atlasian people.

That will be the underlying theme of my campaign and the spirit of a Pingvin's Senatorship.

As a candidate, and as Senator, I will speak not in terms of simple solutions but of hard choices.

The American people must be told the hard, unvarnished truth about the nature of our problems at home:

--That we cannot buy our way out of problems with expanded government programs.

On the contrary, where government expands, our problems multiply.

Our new leadership of candor must also tell the Atlasian people:

-- That the Protection of our freedoms cannot be purchased on the cheap.

--That there is no substitute for credible military strength in dealing with potential adversaries in a nuclear age.

Nor, in dealing with these problems, is there any substitute for the virtues of personal commitment and self-discipline.

At the government level, I will fight for a balanced budget and a stronger dollar.

Сonfidence, faith and pride in the Atlasian ideal -- must be restored.

I believe that my record in  public life - as a member of the legislative and  branch dealing with domestic policy – qualifies me to provide that leadership.

I can do the job - I will do the job - not with promises, not with rhetoric, but with the strength that comes to any Senators who levels with the Atlasian people and earns their trust.

In this spirit, too, I from this day will go forward to seek the At-large Senate seat and the support of Atlasians everywhere who believe that in the decade of the eighties, Atlasia must have a new leadership - a leadership confident of our strength, compassionate of heart, and clear in mind, as we turn to the great tasks before us.

Title: RESTORE ATLASIA NOW RALLY - TOPEKA, KS
Post by: Pingvin on March 31, 2012, 01:41:29 PM
I thank you for that tremendous welcome. It's great to be in Kansas.

The view many Atlasians see this morning is a sobering one. We are troubled about the direction our country is taking. Our values are under constant assault from our public and cultural institutions. We feel threatened by the random incidents of violent crime. Too many of our schools, which were once passports to opportunity, have become demoralizing places. Welfare has become a misery subsidy fostering illegitimacy and generations of dependency. And yet taxes keep increasing, and the government keeps demanding more and more authority over our lives.

None of this should come as a surprise. For much of this century power and wealth alike have flowed from grassroots Atlasians to a federal government which exploded to meet the twin crises of economic depression and global war. Yet, the lifejacket of one generation can become the straightjacket of the next. In giving  Nyman our problems close to their source, Americans have unwittingly encouraged the Federal government to become too large, too remote, too unresponsive, and too undemocratic to be representative.

However, another Atlasia is waiting - an Atlasia strong again in heart and sure of mind. I would like to lead us there.

Our problems are not too difficult to handle. It's just that our leaders have grown too isolated from places like Topeka - embarrassed by the values here. They seem to have lost the idea that we are - and must remain - one nation under God. We are bound by our heritage to a set of common values: hard work, integrity, responsibility - these values have always been the source of our strength and the glue that holds us together.

Our country must again have leaders who believe in our people and are proud of our values. We need leaders who will summon from each of us the best of our character, who will call us as a nation to our full potential. I want to be senator so I can do this for Atlasia.

My mandate as Senator would be to rein in the Federal government in order to set free the spirit of the Atlasia; to reconnect our government in Nyman with the common sense values of our citizens; and to reassert our interests wherever and whenever they are challenged around the world.

We need a Senator who will do more than say "no" to every spending cut, "no" to every attempt to return power and money to the states. We need a Senator who shares our values, embraces our agenda and who will lead the fight for the fundamental change. We need a Senator who will say "yes" to the people, and that is the kind of Senator I intend to be.

And while on the subject of creating a government that will say "yes" to the  people, let me make one fundamental belief crystal clear: we can cut taxes and balance the budget. Middle class families are forced to send too much of their hard-earned money to Nyman. We should provide a tax credit for children and remove the marriage penalty to strengthen our families. And we should cut the capital gains tax to stimulate economic growth, create new jobs, and expand opportunity for all our people.

That is just the first step, not the last.

Balancing the budget will also be a top priority; we cannot continue mortgaging our children's future. We will give people a Balanced Budget Amendment.

But that is only the beginning. Reining in the government means streamlining the entire Federal bureaucracy, getting its nose out of places the government just shouldn't be. We should work our way through the alphabet soup of government, asking this question: Is this program a basic function of limited government, or is it an example of how government has lost faith in the judgment of our people?

There are a host of other areas that cry out for reform. I will be talking about them at greater length in the days ahead. Welfare is one. The Federal system has failed. Why are liberals in Nyman so afraid to turn welfare decision-making over to our governors and regional legislatures? There is already considerable evidence that they can do much better.

Affirmative action is another Federal policy out of control. Discrimination is wrong, immoral. This is Atlasia. We should have a color blind society. But fighting discrimination should never be used to divide people by race, ethnic background, or gender.

There is one area where the Federal government must work in partnership with our state and local governments -- and that area is crime. Today, a criminal committing a serious crime has less than a ten percent chance of going to jail. And once in jail that criminal will serve only a fraction of his sentence.

We should put an end to parole for violent offenders. Put limits on the endless and often frivolous appeals clogging our courts. Remove teenagers who commit serious, violent crimes from juvenile courts and try them as adults. We should be more concerned with the rights of victims than the privileges of criminals. And we must rededicate ourselves to the war on drugs.

Finally, let me touch for a moment on our place in the world. There is one responsibility only the Federal government has, and that is to protect our freedom. We must never be reluctant about our greatness or ashamed of our national strength.

We must stop placing the agenda of the United Nations before the interests of the Atlasia. Let us remember that Atlasia has been the greatest force for good the world has ever known.

My friends, I have the experience. I've been tested, tested in many ways. I am not afraid to lead, and I know the way. Let us rein in our government to set the spirit of the Atlasian people free. Let us renew our moral convictions and strengthen our families by returning to fundamental values. Together, let us reassert our rightful place as a great nation.

We should do it for ourselves -- we owe it to our children. We must act to be worthy of the gift our ancestors sacrificed so much for: to ensure the next century will dawn on a new beginning of Atlasian greatness, prosperity, and freedom. Let us do it together. Let us begin.

Title: RESTORE ATLASIA NOW RALLY - KANSAS CITY, MO
Post by: Pingvin on April 01, 2012, 12:40:31 AM
My friends, we come to Missouri at a crossroads in our country's history.

The long Cold War between Communism and freedom ended.

But victory has not brought with it an end to history.

Beyond these shores, a new world is being born for which our government is unprepared, and we are unprepared. The dynamic force shaping that world is nationalism.

From Europe to Africa, old nations are breaking up, new nations are being born. And as we Atlasians have always stood for freedom and self-determination, we should not fear the future. We should be the first to welcome them into the family of nations. For they all look to Atlasia as the ideal of what they too might one day become.

In the Far East, however, nationalism has taken on a different and harder aspect. The rising economic power of Japan has filed a claim to displace the Atlasia as the dominant power of the 21st Century. In Europe, many of the ancient states are signing up to exchange their national birthright for a limited partnership in an economic co-op called the EC.

We Atlasians must not let that happen here.

We must not trade in our sovereignty for a cushioned seat at the head table of anyone's New World Order.

The first challenge we face, then, is economic, presented by the rise of a European super state and a dynamic Asia led by Japan. The 20th Century was the American Century, but they intend to make the 21st, the century of Europe or the Century of Asia.

So, as we Atlasians congratulate one another on the victory for freedom that we, first and foremost, won, and won together for all mankind in the Cold War, we must begin to prepare for the new struggles already underway.

All the institutions of the Cold War, from vast permanent U.S. armies on foreign soil, to old alliances against Communist enemies that no longer exist, to billions in foreign aid, must be re-examined.

Whenever there is a natural disaster, anywhere, from Armenia to Kurdistan to Bangladesh, we Atlasians will be there, first, with aid and relief. That is our tradition, a tradition that will never change. But it is time to end these routinized annual transfers of our national wealth to global bureaucrats, who ship it off to regimes that pay us back in compound ingratitude. It is time to phase out foreign aid, and start looking out for the needs of the forgotten people right here in the Atlasia.

So, today, we call for a new patriotism, where we begin to put the needs of Atlasians first, for a new nationalism where in every negotiation, be it arms control or trade, the our side seeks advantage and victory for the Atlasia.

The people of this country need to recapture our capital city from an occupying army of lobbyists, and registered agents of foreign powers hired to look out for everybody and everything except the national interest of the Atlasian people.

It is time also to take a hard look at the welfare state.

Over a quarter century we have poured hundreds of billions of dollars into public welfare programs. Whatever the motives of those who built this mammoth state enterprise, our financial loss has been exceeded only by the social catastrophe it created. High school test scores drop almost every year, as the levels of violent crime reach new heights. Narcotics have ravaged a generation. Our popular culture of books, movies and films is as polluted as Lake Eerie once was. The welfare state has bred a generation of children and youth with no fathers, no faith and no dreams - other than the lure of the streets.

To our economic crisis, however, we know the answer.

It is to end the steadily rising drain of wealth and resources to Nyman; to ease up on - not add to, Establishment - the tax burden on American business; to unleash, not tie down, the genius and energy of Atlasian enterprise. As for the predatory traders of Europe or Asia, who have targeted this or that our industry for dumping and destruction, if I am elected, they will find themselves on a collision course with the Senate of Atlasia.

When we say we will put Atlasia first, we mean also that our Judeo-Christian values are going to be preserved, and our Western heritage is going to be handed down to future generations, not dumped onto some land fill called multi-culturalism.

At the root of America's social crisis - be it AIDS, ethnic hatred, crime or the social decomposition of our cities - lies a spiritual crisis. Solzhenitsyn was right. Men have forgotten God. Not in the redistribution of wealth, but in the words of the Old and New Testament will be found not only salvation, but the cure for a society suffering a chronic moral sickness.

But as we search for the answers we all used to know, we need to take back our streets from the criminals. We need to persuade pastors and preachers to return to their pulpits to reinstruct us in the Commandments and the truths of our traditional faiths, and to leave government to the politicians. We must do what we can to reconstruct the old conscience-forming and character-forming institutions of society - family and church, home and school.

We need God's help, and we need your help.

Why am I running? Because we can no longer say it is all the liberals' fault.

What is the White House answer to the recession caused by its own breach of faith? It is to deny we even have a recession.

Well, let them come to Missouri.

My friends, we are the sons and daughters of the men and women who brought America through the Depression and crushed fascism on two sides of the world. We ourselves are the men and women who won the Cold War with Communism. We can win the future and we can hand down to those who come after us a country as great and grand and good as the one that was given to us. But first we must take our country back.

So we are taking this campaign not just to Whigs, and not just to conservatives. Every Atlasian is invited to join, the middle-class of both parties, and of no party. For the establishment that has dominated Senate for decades is as ossified and out-of-touch with people as the establishment that resides in the White House.

This race will not be about personality; and this campaign will not get into personalities.

My opponents, Alfred F. Jones and Snowstalker are men of graciousness, honor, and integrity. But the differences between us now are too deep.

They are yesterday and we are tomorrow. They are  globalists and we are nationalists. They believe in some Pax Universalis; we believe in the Old Republic. They would put Atlasian's wealth and power at the service of some vague New World Order; we will put Atlasia first.

Title: RESTORE ATLASIA NOW RALLY - PHILADELPHIA, PA
Post by: Pingvin on April 01, 2012, 08:31:17 AM
Thanks for joining me.

My concerns for the future of our country are deeply held. The establishment has floundered in its effort to shrink the size of government and restore our constitutional republic.

We no longer can afford the extravagance of this ever growing and intrusive government, both at home and abroad.

We have lost our way and strayed from the free society our Founders secured for us in the Constitution, but there's no reason the principles that made us the greatest nation ever can't be restored.

We merely need to respect and follow the rule of law – the Constitution – and elect leaders determined to stand firm in its defense.

Liberty once again must become more important to us than the desire for security and material comfort.

Personal safety and economic prosperity can only come as the consequence of liberty. They cannot be provided by an authoritarian government.

To expect government to take care of us from cradle to grave undermines the principles of liberty.

Returning to the dark ages of dictatorship is no substitute for resuming the most modern and grandest experiment known to man – promoting human liberty by strictly limiting the arbitrary power of government.

Political and economic conditions today are at a crucial crossroads.

Today's problems need not lead to despair. Instead we must become energized, and use this time of turmoil to offer the Atlasian people the solution found in freedom in all that we do. We must reject the bureaucratic management of our lives and the economy.

We stand on the threshold of a true revolution of ideas. As the welfare/warfare state loses its steam, we now see how the seeds of the freedom movement over the past 40 years are starting to bear fruit.

A nation under great stress is ripe for a change.

A major change in direction is not a theoretical dream, but actually quite possible.

Central planning is intellectually bankrupt – and it has bankrupted our country and undermined our moral principles.

Respect for individual liberty and dignity is the only answer to government force, force that serves the politically and economically powerful.

Our planners and rulers are not geniuses, but rather demagogues and would-be dictators--always performing their tasks with a cover of humanitarian rhetoric.

The collapse of the Soviet system came swiftly and dramatically, without a bloody conflict – surprising many. It came as no surprise, however, to the devotees of freedom who have understood for decades that socialism was doomed to fail. Communism, like all socialism, failed intellectually and failed practically.

And so too will the welfare/warfare state fail, and then our cause will be heard. The love of liberty will not die.

Opportunity is now at our doorstep.

We need now only to mobilize the army of true believers to present the case for the principles that built Atlasia, and can make her great once again.

Today, because of our careless attitude toward freedom and the responsibilities it requires, we face a crisis that everyone recognizes but few understand.

A free society is based on the key principle that the government, the president, the Senate, the courts, and the bureaucrats are incapable of knowing what is best for each and every one of us.

They don't know how to run the economy, regulate our lives, or manage a world empire.

A government as a referee is proper, but a government that uses arbitrary force to direct every aspect of society threatens freedom.

Such governments have failed thousands of times over the centuries.

The time has come for a modern approach to achieving those values that all civilized societies seek.

Only in a free society do individuals have the best chance to seek virtue, strive for excellence, improve their economic well-being, and achieve personal happiness. It is only through this personal effort that peace and freedom can be secured.

The worthy goals of civilization can only be achieved by freedom loving individuals.

When government uses force, liberty is sacrificed and the goals are lost.

It is freedom that is the source of all creative energy.

Our goal always should be the preservation of liberty. It is much more important to protect individual liberty and privacy than to make government even more secretive and powerful.

These goals are worth fighting for.

There is hope for Atlasia.

Please support me in these efforts.

Thanks for listening.

Altough I support any reforms that will revive Atlasia, I hate his socialist rethorics.

Title: RESTORE ATLASIA NOW RALLY - FINAL SPEECH, MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, NYC
Post by: Pingvin on April 05, 2012, 02:42:24 PM
I'm running for senate because I believe we can return Atlasia to hope and opportunity, to full employment, to real security, to an Atlasian energy program, to a balanced budget.

I want your help because no one person from the Nyman can get this done. We Atlasians are going to have to talk together, work together, find solutions together, and insist on imposing those solutions on those who don’t want to change.

There are some people who don’t mind if Atlasia becomes a wreck so long as they dominate the wreckage. But you and I know better.

We owe it to our children, our grandchildren, our country and frankly to ourselves. So let’s get together, look reality in the face, tell the truth, make the tough choices and get the job done.

There’s a much better Atlasian future ahead: with more jobs, more prosperity, a better health system, longer lives, greater independent living with power once again back with the people and way from the bureaucracies.

No one person can accomplish this. It can’t be done from the "High Office". We have to work together. We  have to get it done.

I hope you will decide to join me. Let’s work side by side. Let’s get this done for ourselves, our children and grandchildren, and for our country.

I hope you will see what we are trying to get done, and to join us in getting Atlasia back on the right track.

Thank you very much!

Congrats on your victory! It's positive to have another active conservative in the Senate. The Whig Party now has three Senators! Unfortunately, it will be very hard to defend all three at-large seats in the upcoming April election ...

Title: RESTORE ATLASIA NOW RALLY - CLEVELAND, OH
Post by: Pingvin on April 13, 2012, 12:18:36 AM
Wow? Isn't this something? Beyond my wildest dreams and expectations.

I want to first of all thank all of my friends.

You gave me the greatest honor, which was to send me to the Nation's Capitol.

You see, I always carry our values with me wherever I go. I try to carry hopes, and dreams, and the values that flow from the most important institution right here, and that is our families.

I went into government to change the world.

The mission is to continue to pursue the economic destiny of the Atlasia and to pursue the economic destiny of every single Atlasian citizen while at the same time rejuvenating the Atlasian spirit.

We're hungry for the renewal of our American spirit, about giving us confidence again. In order to do that I believe we've got to begin to run America from the bottom up, from our families, from our communities, to the top.

You know, power in Atlasia flows from the people to the leaders. It's time to take the power back from the elite and put it back into the hands of the people, into our hands, into every family and every community and every individual.

You know, it's power from the people and power to the people. And let's start with one of the most precious opportunities that we have in Atlasia: The opportunity for every boy and girl to be able to get an education so they can pursue their dreams. Because you know, if you're black or red or yellow or white, yes, sometimes if you're black in Atlasia, they'll try to hold you back. But you know what? With skills and persistence, you can overcome.

So we have to march every day to make sure that our children have the best education. And, folks, I have to tell you, the best education doesn't come from a bunch of elite who try to tell us how to educate our children. It comes from mothers and fathers who love their children, who want to place their children in the best educational setting, a place where they will be safe and they will learn.

And finally, each and every day in every big and little way we as everyday Atlasians are going to fight to remember that at the end of our lives, we'll answer to a higher power. And if we will all march together, keeping that in mind, we will expand our hearts, we will expand our consciences, and we'll have the firmness to make for a better country, to make for a better society, to make for a better culture, and to make for the precious Atlasian family.

Join me, won't you, ladies and gentlemen, in this fight. We will not be denied. God bless you.

Title: RESTORE ATLASIA NOW RALLY - SEATTLE, WA
Post by: Pingvin on April 18, 2012, 12:38:45 PM
Why I'm Running for Senate

I run to prepare Atlasia for job growth.

I run to reveal the control that special interests have over our nation‟s Capitol and to demonstrate the freedom that only comes from refusing their money.

I run as a proud Whig, but an even prouder Atlasian. I believe in Atlasia, its values, its future.

The unmentioned problem are special interest campaign donations which own Nyman turning it into a corrupt institution where fat cat special interest checks write the tax code, write healthcare reform, and write bank reform.

I run for Senate and am not accepting any PAC or special interest money, any contributions over $100 per person, and I am remain committed to full disclosure.

We must break the stranglehold of special interests over the tax code, the budget, the debt, Wall Street reform and healthcare reform.

There is only one way to take back control of our country from the special interests - don‟t take their PAC money, their bundled money, their access money. Politicians must be free to lead, free to challenge special interests and free to change Nyman.

We need to deregulate small businesses so they can grow again.
We need to be energy independent and create a million new jobs.
We need to reduce Federal spending.
We need immigration reform that seals the borders.
We need tax reform that lowers the marginal rate with simplicity.

There is much we need to do, but the place to start is with special interest money and unfair trade – and no one is speaking of it.

We must break the stranglehold of special interest money on our political system. We must seal the hole and restore manufacturing jobs. This growth is essential to paying off the debt and getting us out of this financial trap in which we find ourselves. It is the special interests who use unfair trade and self-written tax loopholes to make their fortunes and steal our futures.

$100 limit. No PAC money. Full disclosure. Free to lead is the key. No other candidate can solve these two problems because they need their money.

Stand with me against the special interests. Spread the word!

Even with the obvious failure of government, the boys at the top are living so well they've forgotten the rest of Atlasia. I have not.

I ask the 99% of Atlasians who do not currently give to a political candidate to stand with me. Together we can restore Atlasia‟s promise to our children and grandchildren.

Free to lead a rising Atlasia.

May God bless Atlasia, and each and every one of you!

I think there are a total of 10 Senators if you count the ones elected regionally. I suspect two are labor(pacifc& midwest), 1 is liberal(northeast) and is whig(south). Not sure about Mideast.

There is no such organizational structure in the Atlasian Senate and with only 10 people such would be impractical. The organization of the Senate is structured on a non-partisan basis with three men in a room, the VP, The PPT and the Senate Dean (which we will soon have a new one when the Mideast Senator is liquidated)

That is an utterly lowest common denominator, populist (in the worst sense of the term), midless excuse of a reason to justify straight ticket voting. You are a better man then that,Yank; this poor argument is beneath you.

Sometimes the truth isn't the convenient answer you want it to be. I had no plans to vote straight ticket. I went in, copy and pasted the ballot into notepad and made several different preference schedules. The first one had Andrew at the top of the ballot.

What the Senate needs is disagreement on issues to spur debate and activity. As I have said before, as a game you can't approach people (even those you find disgusting) with a slash and burn mentality. Sometimes you need to make decisions to artificially spur the game and that means you don't do things the way you normally would in a real life election.

If you don't like it, that is too bad, Badger.

I for one do not base my voting behaviour in Atlasia on the candidates' hypothetical political choice in a foreign country. I look at the candidates' platforms here in the game and the kind of legislation they introduce. You can dislike Pingvin's hypothetical vote for the BNP or for other similar parties, but the work he has done here in Atlasia is not fascist in any way. He has been a candidate with who I can by and large agree when it comes to economic policies and who shares with me an unequivocal anti-abortion stance, which I regard as the most important social issue. Thus, I stand by my decision to vote for Pingvin.

ZuWo, on this, you & I agree (somewhat). Candidates should be judged by the views they espouse on these boards and the policies they advocate. Otherwise, were leaving a lot of people out of the game. However, I still think his in-game views are extreme enough and prefer more centrist or leftist candidates.

Many got a question: what is the difference between Liberal and Labour parties?
And I got an answer: class background of the voters.
Main base of the liberal voters is a typical middle-class families from the urban neighbourhoods. For example, Simpsons. I'd say that even with Homer anti-tax and pro-gun stances, Lisa's enviromentalism and social radicalism, they're typical Liberal voters.
They're pretty much selfish and they're not welfare recipents - they just want a better healthcare and education for Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

Main base of Labour voters are Spucklers and Insane cat-throwing lady. Brandine is a typical welfare queen - she and her family would vote for anyone who will promise them fish - and they will get offended when somebody would say: "And why you're not gonna take fishing rod?"

Think about it.

Post by: Pingvin on July 21, 2012, 02:12:27 AM
Let’s talk about Atlasia.

Today’s mess didn’t just happen. We elected it -- one senator, member of regional legislature and president at a time. Our leaders in Nyman, have ‘led’ Atlasia to record unemployment, a devalued currency, banking scandals, the mortgage crisis, drug crisis, economic crisis, loss of our nation’s industrial might – and a long list of other reminders our nation is way off course.

Why am I telling you this? Because Atlasia is better than this. And because I can help fix it.

I’m a fix-it man.

Atlasia needs a ‘President Veto’ right now – someone who will say ‘no’ to insane spending and stop the madness that has become Nyman. That’s why I am here today to announce that I’m running for President. And I don’t do so lightly.

It’s time to put one of our own in the White House. I have the qualifications, the ability and the know-how to do the job. I also have a track record. I’ll do what I say I’ll do.

I’m ready for a different Atlasia. I’m ready for the day when a person can build a good life on a decent income, and we can take our government at its word – when people have more to smile about. I’m ready for peace and prosperity and some Atlasian dreaming. I’m ready for Atlasia to be ATLASIA again.

Our current president will not lead us there. None of the professional Nyman set will. We have to get there on our own.

I’m here  today because I can – and will -- do a better job for you as president.

I’m optimistic about our chances. Winning freedom is what Atlasia does.

We’ve got this.

- Constitutional Amendment to outlaw abortion (a ban just makes abortion less safe, why is it needed?)
- Re-introduction of death penalty for serious crimes (how is this extra fiscal cost justified?)
- Introduce a federal public smoking ban (probably unconstitutional)
- Support for school choice and homeschooling; introduction of voucher system (why is the federal level meddling in education?)
- Opposition to euthanasia (Why?)
- Constitutional Amendment to define marriage as one man and one woman (Why is this needed?)
- Introduction of 15% flat tax (Why not a fairtax?)
- COMPLETE BAN ON IMMIGRATION (From where? Why?)
- Ban on burqas, mosques, and minarets (This is illegal)
- Encourage the teaching of Atlasian history, culture and traditions at schools (expand)

I'd have to agree with SJoyce here on a couple ones. I'm opposed to things like smoking bans, bans on burqas (etc), withdrawing from international organizations, and banning immigration. Sure, cracking down on illegal immigration, but just straight up stopping the in-flow of people into the country?

Mosques - sorry, but I really believe that there is a danger called Islamofascism. You know, Europe is now slowly turning into Eurabia. (Russia too)
Abortion - with 3 exceptions (mother's life in danger, rape or incest)
Marriage - sorry, folks but this is my religious principle (Russian Orthodox)
Immigration - not complete ban, but a moratorium for 5-10 years.
UN/NATO - sorry, I'm just an isolationist.

What if I banned churches because some Christians kill people? There are plenty of good, normal Muslims and it's an unconstitutional denial of their basic rights to effectively ban them from worshipping as they please.

Also, why the moratorium on immigration.

Both are equally bad. I'd take neither. Why would accept the denial of women's rights (abortion isn't one) over the denial of economic freedom?

I view freedom of religion as a time honored tradition in Atlasia and the banning of a certain major religion's place of prayer would be an issue for me.

As well, as an admirer of the late Richard M. Nixon, I value foreign relations as a key component of Atlasia's foreign policy. As well, I'm an Ambassador and sort of have a job-related stake in the maintenance of such relations. ;)

Can you describe legislation which you think would be good for Atlasia, but which is unconstitutional?
Good question, my friend! I think that if I'll push some legislation, Constitution and my personal beliefs will be my guides. Though if some piece of my new act will be considered unconstitutional, I will try to re-write it.

Example of brochure that was given to people attending Pingvin For President Rally - Dallas, TX

Friends, I see an Atlasia where the federal government is back under the Constitution. I see an Atlasia where the dream of equal justice for all and special privilege for none has become a reality. I see an Atlasia where the jobs are coming home and no longer being sent abroad.
And I see an Atlasia where we become one people, one nation, one family, again. This is the kind of Atlasia I'm working for and fighting for.
Our country needs a new vision, one that relies on the values of family, faith and freedom. We need policies that expand opportunity for all Atlasian people by releasing the vast growth potential locked inside our economy.

With your help, we can make this dream come true.

All we need is a new leadership of courage and vision for this country and we will get the job done. You can rely upon me for that new leadership, because I am a man who says what he means and means what he says, a man you can trust. Count on it.

Putting Atlasians First: Pingvin on the Issues

Term Limits

Atlasia needs a constitutional amendment limiting Congressional terms to one year for regional legislators and Senators. Also, Senate should impose term limits on all federal judges. Atlasia must become again a country of citizen legislators -- not career politicians.

Return The Morality Of Our Society

The doctrine of "separation of church and state" is a misinterpretation of the Constitution.
The First Amendment does not forbid all religious influence upon politics or society. The free exercise of religion means nothing if, in connection with the ordinary events and circumstances of life, individuals are forbidden to act upon their faith.
As President, I would do everything in my power, through public speeches and proposing legislation, and by careful scrutiny of the candidates for judicial appointments, to turn the tide against constitutional interpretations that undermine religious freedom. I oppose any efforts to use government power to impose views that contravene religious conscience on matters such as homosexuality and abortion.
In terms of civil rights discrimination, it is wrong to treat sexual orientation like race. Race is a condition beyond the individual's control. If we equate sexual orientation and race, we are saying that sexual behavior is beyond the Individual's control and moral will. The effort to equate homosexual and lesbian relations with legal marriage represents a destructive assault on the heterosexual, marriage-based family.
Human sexuality is primarily a mater of moral and not just physical healthy. So-called health-based sex education programs have done more harm than good. They too often encourage adolescents to consider sexual activity apart from marriage and family life. Especially in government schools, where teachers try to deal with sexual matters without reference to moral authority, they result in a vapid, context-free presentation of sexual mechanics which degrades and debases the meaning of relations between the sexes. Sex education is, as a rule, the private responsibility of parents. The government should not usurp this role.
Clean Up Our Politics

Our national politics have been corrupted by Big Money. Corporate contributions to political parties will be outlawed, PAC contributions ended, and Senators and Legislators will have to raise every dime of their campaign war chests in their own state and district. Million-dollar goverment pensions will be abolished.

Balance The Budget

Excessive government spending, and the excessive taxation and borrowing it produces, are therefore not only a threat to our economy -- they erode the resource base of our freedom and our moral responsibility. The best way to curtail government spending is to cut taxes.  They can't spend what they don't get.  But we must also take away the government's credit card.  With limits on both tax revenue and borrowing, the Federal government would finally be forced to get serious about spending cuts.
Atlasia needs a Balanced Budget Amendment with a strict limit on the amount of taxes government may impose. Our debt is a national disgrace; a threat to the survival of this Republic. It must and shall come down. It's time to remove the dead weight of Nyman and let the Atlasian economy run free. Fiscal sanity and moral revival go hand in hand.

Reclaim Atlasia's Lost Sovereignty

The heroes of Lexington and Concord gave their lives for our liberty. Now, politicians are selling out our sovereignty to a global "New Word Order." Atlasia shall reclaim her lost sovereignty, and never again will Atlasian soldiers be subject to UN command.
I believe that the UN can serve some useful purposes in the world. But we need to go to the UN to promote the interests of Atlasia, not the agenda of globalists who favor world government. We must at all costs defend our national sovereignty, independence, and identity as Atlasians. It is our responsibility to take care of our interests. When you advocate passing responsibility to the UN, you are not taking leadership. Instead you are sacrificing Atlasia's leadership role and position in the world, and that's going to be dangerous.

End Foreign Aid

The looting of Atlasia for the benefit of foreign regimes ends the day I take office. If we cannot balance our own budget, what are we doing sending billions of tax dollars overseas to balance the budgets of foreign governments? Let's end foreign aid and start looking out for the Forgotten Atlasians right here.

Defend Our Borders

We need a sea wall to stop the tidal wave of illegal immigration and narcotics sweeping over our southern border. We need a "time out" on legal immigration -- to assimilate and Atlasianize the millions who have come in recent decades. And we need one language for one people -- our own English language.

A Pro-Family, Pro-Growth Tax System

An across the board 17% tax rate and expanded exemptions so that a family of four would pay no taxes on the first $36,000 of income. With no taxes on Social Security, pensions, personal savings or capital gains, this flat tax would be fair (everyone would pay the same rate), honest (no more political manipulation of the tax code) and simple -- you could fill it out on a post card. Slash capital gains taxes, and abolish inheritance taxes on family estates, family businesses and family farms. Cut the corporate tax rate to 0%.

Real Social Security

No more Nyman-style "reform" of Social Security, which means raising taxes and lowering benefits. We must strengthen security for our elderly and make the system sound for the future -- with guaranteed savings in a growing private sector.

Equal Justice Under Law

In the 1960's, the civil rights movement sought the assistance of government to enforce the fundamental principle that all men are created equal. But today's civil rights groups, Including the NAACP, have abandoned that principle in favor of preferential treatment for groups that they claim have suffered past discrimination. But we cannot cure a past injustice with another injustice. Moreover affirmative action programs patronize Atlasian blacks because it presumes that blacks cannot succeed an their own. Affirmative action does not advance civil rights in this country. It is merely another government patronage program to secure money and jobs for the few people who benefit from it.
Discrimination is wrong. But you do not correct old injustices by committing new ones. We will end preferential treatment-quotas, set-asides, affirmative action, "diversity" mandates -- in federal policy our first week in office, Atlasia must become a nation of equal justice for all-and special privilege for none.

Defend The Right To Life

God is the author of life. If Government has any valid duty, it is to protect innocent life. If human beings can arbitrarily decide who is human and who is not, the doctrine of God-given rights is utterly violated. If the Declaration of Independence states our creed, there can be no right to abortion, since it means denying the most fundamental right of all to the unborn child, the right to life. Some people talk about the "viability" as a test to determine which human offspring have rights which we must respect, and which do not because they are somehow less human. But the Declaration states plainly that we are all created equal. If human beings can arbitrarily decide who is human and who is not, the doctrine of God-given rights is utterly violated. When whites wished to enslave blacks, they denied their humanity, and so construed the right to hold slaves as a property right.  The same type of absurdity is falsely proclaimed today by the pro-abortion culture of death.
After conception, life in the womb is in this respect no different than life outside the womb. Full legal protection for the right to life of the unborn, the ill and the elderly must and shall be reestablished.

Free Education From Federal Control

The court-initiated prohibition of school prayer is only the symptom of a deeper problem, the neglect of moral education and character formation. The value-free education offered by the government run schools has all too often proven to be education without value. This is especially true now that Outcome Based Education has been used as an excuse to establish curricular elements that amount to the politically correct brainwashing of our children.
I strongly favor school choice approaches that empower parents to send their children to schools that reflect the parent's faith and values.
It is time to put Atlasia's parents back in control of our schools, Give parents the means to educate their children in the school of their choice. Reduce the education bureaucracy; put more resources in the classroom.

Restore Our National Heritage

We will provide constitutional protection for the flag, and restore freedom of religion to public schools. Our glorious, if often tragic, history is as great a national treasure as our Capitol, or the forests of Yellowstone. Our national memory must be preserved; so, too, shall all monuments, battlefields and symbols of our heritage.

I pledge to work tirelessly to make this vision a reality. Won't you join me?

Sincerely,
IDS Judicial Overlord Pingvin

I disagree with Pingvin on many issues, but I believe the most important issue to vote for a President on is foreign policy. Even there we disagree... but Pingvin knows Atlasia must come first, that we must approach the world based on what makes life better for our citizens first. He is a friend of mine and is friendly to every one on this board despite the attitude many take towards him...

I will endorse the winner of the Pingvin/Jbrase primary with pride, but for now...

I am proud to announce my personal endorsement of Pingvin for President!

It's PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGVIN REEEEEEEEEEEEPORT and we are back!
Our topics today:
1) Senate race
2) Opinion polling for Presidential race

So, Senate race. Senator Clarence's resignation was a really nasty surprise for me.
But results are even nastier. C'MON FOLKS, ATLASIA CAN DO BETTER!
No, really. That second round. It is a pure failure for Whigs.
FOLKS, WAKE UP! WAKE UP!

Let's switch now to good news. Jbrase leads in a majority of polls. Why?
I can tell you why.
Atlasia is tired of politicans that do nothing except reading speeches about "expierenced leadership", "recovery is just around the corner", "extermist crazies."
Just. Too. Much.
Jbrase is just a statesman that Atlasia needs now.
He got expeirence. He is not afraid to talk about real issues that concern regular Atlasians. He knows how to solve problems.
This was Pingvin Report, thank you and good bye!

Title: Interview with Mideast Governor Tmthforu94
Post by: Pingvin on September 29, 2012, 12:23:06 PM
Hello, Governor. Thanks for your appearance on my show. First question, how are you going to solve uneployment problem in your region?

Answer to first question: Can I be funny about this or is it supposed to be serious, first off?
It's too early in the morning for me to think critically.
We're going to solve the unemployment problem by bringing more jobs to our region.

That sounds interesting, indeed. Next question - what will you do if there will be a, let's say budget vote crisis in Assembly?

Well, my goal with this budget is to work with both sides. But if it comes down to it, I'd be okay with the two sides settling it with a good, ole' fashioned duel.

Once again you proved that you are one of the strongest regional executives in Atlasia now. 3rd question: Recent Senate act about abortion restriction had caused a lot of furious debate (especially in a part related to federal/regional rights on social issues) In your opinion, who should decide on it: Nyman or regions?

Thank you - I work out daily. Generally on social issues, I'm more of a regional rights guy. I think a bill like this, considering it's the third trimester, as well as the death penalty amendment, is an exception because it involves human rights (Cue argument on whether a fetus is human). I would support legislation that would repeal all abortion restrictions at the federal level and leave it to us to decide.

Sounds like a reasonable position for me. During my presidential bid, I had a lot of dirty attacks on my certain positions (immigration, Culture war, marriage etc) Don't you think that Atlasia had become too polarized and radical recently?

I'll just say this - I think some people take the game too seriously.

Mmkay. What can you say about recent polls for October race?

They're deceitful.

Oh. Can you expand it? I'm really curious.

Sure - conservatives always overpoll in this game. I mean, ZuWo narrowly led me in most polls leading up to our election. Only one polling firm, SurveyAtlasia, had me ahead, and even that was only a couple points. I ended up winning with almost 2/3's of the vote.

One more request: Can you say something to all Midwesterners? Some kind of message or adress?

Well, one thing I will soon be doing is meeting with the Governor of each region in the coming weeks. I hope when I met with ilikeverin, they'll have some yummy cake waking for me.

Thank you a lot for the interview. It was a really nice dialog.

Guten Tag!

See you soon in the IDS! It was Mideast Governor Tmth on Pingvin Report, thanks for all who watched us and good night!

Title: Interview with Northeast Governor Nix
Post by: Pingvin on September 30, 2012, 01:52:29 PM
Hello, Governor. Thank you for accepting my invite.

Thank you, Pingvin - it's always a pleasure.

First question: why you decided to give up your seat and run for Senate?

I'm proud of my record as Governor - founding CARE, introducing the first regional budget in years, sending to the voters a constitutional amendment to move our capital to Buffalo, increasing the minimum wage to $15.00 per hour and tying it to inflation, signing the Roscoe Conkling Equity Before the Law Act, updating the wiki, and keeping the Vital Civic Information thread current. If I were to serve another term, I think that there's a great deal that I could accomplish: Further improving our budget, reforming our region's schools, and improving infrastructure across the Northeast.

But I've never felt totally comfortable about the prospect of serving consecutive terms. A region benefits from having leaders with different personalities, different interests, different governing styles, and different strengths. While I wholeheartedly support Scott's bid for the governorship, I suspect that you'll see just how different we are should he be elected. And this is a good thing! What's more, this game offers a variety of options for service, and I want to experiment with them. If I serve as governor again in the future - a possibility to which I am very open - I think that having served in the Senate will be an enormous advantage.

My experience as governor will be an advantage as a Senator, and if I'm elected, giving regional concerns a voice in the Senate will be a top concern. I think that Senator Marokai's recent attempt to eliminate the office of the Secretary of Internal Affairs demonstrates just how out-of-touch our current crop of Senators are with how the regions operate and the invaluable role that they serve in Atlasia.

This is a reasonable position. Second question: What do you think was your biggest achievement during your tenure as NE Governor?

It's hard for me to say whether I'm more proud of writing a regional budget or my part in convincing the legislature to pass the Capital Act of 2012. I suppose that the latter was more difficult, and consequently, more impressive. That bill came on the heels of months of contentious debate and failed proposals. I worked very hard to forge our eventual consensus on moving the capital to Buffalo. Not only will this move save the region money in the long run; it'll also jolt our economy and revive a part of the region that has been struggling for decades.

By the way, I don't mean to claim sole credit for this accomplishment. Representative Simfan and Senator Scott have been really devoted to this proposal, and they deserve appreciation from across the region for their roles.

That was indeed one of the most fascinating pieces of Northeast history. I want to ask you a very own question: What would you do in Senate to attract attention to abuse of human rights in Russia? What do you think about Pussy Riot case?

I find the present relationship between the Orthodox Church and the Russian government extremely disturbing. When you have Patriarch Kirill calling Vladimir Putin a "miracle from God," something is very wrong.

The women of Pussy Riot are heroic dissidents. They've taken a courageous stand for human rights and against the state's corruption of the Orthodox Church, and for this they deserve a place in history beside figures like Walesa and Havel.

What can Atlasia do? I'm not sure that there are any concrete actions that it would be advisable for us to take. I think that history shows that domestic dissidents like Pussy Riot are far more effective at fighting tyranny than any kind of foreign meddling. They have their own voice, and it's best that we respect that rather than attempting to co-opt them in what inevitably will become an attempt to further our own strategic interests rather than the interests of the people of Russia.

That said, I think that Atlasian leaders should not shy away from speaking the truth about what Putin is doing to Russia. And when it comes to any kind of agreement between Atlasia and Putin's regime, his dismal record on human rights is something that we need to consider.

I fully agree with you here. And let's finish our program with something funny.
A QUIZ!

Favourite meal: I'm a fourth-generation Italian-American - until a few years ago, my grandfather owned a factory where he produced his own brand of tomato sauce. I love Italian-American food - there's nothing better than pasta, eggplant parm, or pizza with a nice glass of wine.

Favourite band
: Lately I've been listening to a lot of Metric, but my all-time favorite will always be Rush.

Favourite film: Difficult to answer - I'll reduce what could easily be a laundry list to a trifecta: Seventh Seal, Blade Runner, and Brazil

Favourite sports team: I don't watch a lot of sports, but I enjoy the occasional hockey game - I guess I'll go with the Montreal Canadiens.

Favourite videogame
: Sid Meier's Civilization series, easily.

Favourite book
: It'll sound like I'm pandering to the host, but the honest answer is The Brothers Karamazov.

That was Pingvin Report with Gov. Nix, thank you and good night!

A latest attack on me by an corrupt socialist reptile newspaper The Atlasian Laborinth, is a dirty, ugly attempt to tarn my honest name in front of Atlasians, including those who supported me during my campaigns.
I must remind you, that this dishonorable bastard liar Adam Griffin, who was an author of this damned piece of journalistic [censored] was a mastermind in the "Operation Cottonfield", a far-left plot to make our glorious South go red in a next election.
I won't say a lot abouth these [censored]heads. I just ask all Southerners, honest and open people, to spit in the Adam Griffin's face. Enemy's face.
Thank you.

Post by: Pingvin on October 05, 2014, 02:41:19 PM
Dear friends.
I'm not going to hide behind the "correct" words. Our country has been stabbed in the back by the separatist traitors and junta bastards. They kill innocent civilians, rob their houses and offices.
While I still believe that Federal and legal Regional goverments will do their best to strike down the beast called the "Rebellion", I can't stay away.
Therefore, I hereby announce the formation of the new organization that will do its best to help all the pro-Union volunteers and militia everywhere around the country.
Friends of the Front Comittee will hold a number of fundraising events across the IDS. All the money collected will be used for the purchase of equipment that anti-separatist forces need right now.
Stau tuned for the updates.

Senator Cassius reviews White Army forces near Columbus

'I have summoned you all here today, for the express purpose of conveying a message to you. Atlasia remains in a state of virtual civil war, and the military remain unable to defeat the factions that seek to bring down the state. Thus, all of you, volunteers from across Atlasia; Mideast, Northeast, Southeast etcetera, I urge you to march on the rebels in the Northeast and help the army restore order there. Too many decent, ordinary civilians have been slain during this conflict for us to stand idly by and watch'.

White Army begin to file off in the direction of the Northeast

Senator Deus is a traitor and a leader of a clearly anti-Atlasian movement. He must be expelled.

Title: SO LONG AND THANKS FOR ALL THE FISH - OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Post by: Pingvin on April 08, 2015, 03:16:11 PM
Dear friends.

With the pain in my heart I'm announcing my decision to retire from the Atlasian politics completely. It wasn't easy, but I just had to. At this point I can't anymore participate in anything related to the electoral politics or activism. The amounts of mud that both sides of our party spectrum throw at each other is bigger than amounts of  Patricia Morrison's hair extensions in the 80's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWvOHT0zfXY) and it's not the better Atlasia that I hoped to build when I first came into the game back in 2011, sorry, folks, but that's the harsh truth.

I would like to thank my mentor, NC Yankee, without whom my career would be non-existent and I endorse him in his Senate re-election. The list of the true friends and characters such as Kalwejt, Clarence and many others true patriots of Atlasia is endless, and I hope all of them good luck in their future endeavours, even if our paths may never cross again in the future.

There will be no pathetic reunions, comeback tours or even guest appearances.

Goodbye, Atlasia. It was a good run.  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4-BXGot5ek)

Ladies and gentlemen!

After months of consideration I have decided to return to politics. Of course, you can label me as a promise breaker, but people like NC Yankee and Adam Griffin had asked me to get back and I've decided that the time is right for me to enter. The current sad state of this country that forced me to leave in April now forced me to return.

I'm here to help every citizen make his Atlasian dream make an Atlasian reality. Together, we can reach the new heights and build a country that's ready for challenges of XXI century.

I believe that if we unite our hearts and our minds in this fight, we can do wonders.

Sincerely,
Pingvin

Yep, free speech is a non-negotiable for a free country. If someone is too closed-minded to even listen to things they don't agree with, they don't have the right to force others to shut up.

    -Leinad

Passed!

Ladies and gentlemen, it's another victory for the pursuit of liberty in Atlasia. The Southern Legislature voted 3-0 on the Protecting the Free Speech in Education act that I introduced few days ago. I believe that it's an important step and I encourage other regions to follow this way.

Title: The Pingvin Office - Statement on Terror Attacks
Post by: Pingvin on March 22, 2016, 01:58:01 PM
My heart goes out to the victims of terrorist attacks in Pacific and Dearborn, their families and their loved ones. We will keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

The time has come for the Federal government and regional governments of Atlasia to crack down on the radical Islamic terrorists inside our country and make them pay for their actions. We cannot hide behind the calls for tolerance and peace anymore - it's time to make the anti-Atlasian, anti-freedom zealots drink their own blood.

We must realize that there is a war against Atlasia, Western civilization, it's values and it's people.

We must impose the ban on immigration from the Middle East countries that serve as a training ground for the terrorists, such as Saudi Arabia, Syria and Iraq.

Our law enforcement forces must start raiding the mosques that can be considered potential hiding spots for the radicals.

Our federal government must finally realize that the only principle that our enemies understand is the principle of force - and we shouldn't hesitate to use it. It's time to re-introduce the death penalty for the terrorists, their relatives and their sympathizers.

We shall avenge the Atlasians that lost their lives in the terrorist attacks whatever it may take.

God bless you and God bless Atlasia.

Title: Pingvin for Senate - Reclaim the Republic

Biography:

Candidate for Vice-President (February 2012, October 2013)
At-large Senator (April 2012)
Southern Regional Legislator (Novermber 2011 - January 2012, April 2012, September 2014 - February 2015, November 2015 - present)
Judicial Overlord of the IDS (May 2012 - September 2012)
Chairman of the Southern Federalist branch (October 2015 - present)

My friends, I am here to raise my voice on behalf of those who are not being heard. Our leaders in Nyman, who are timid and fearful of being called names - do nothing for the common man. Well, they have not invented the name I have not been called, so, the custodians of political correctness do not frighten me.
We will change this together and defeat this machine. I can’t be bought. I won’t be running around begging for money for my campaign. I won’t owe anybody anything. I won’t be beholden to anyone except to you, the people of the South, if you elect me to serve as your Senator.

I will fight any waste, fraud and abuse. I will fight for the rights of the workers and the rights of the middle class. I will fight for closing the loopholes for crony corporatists. I will fight for ending the illegal immigration and securing the border. I will fight for you.

Thus, I humbly but proudly announce the campaign for the Southern Senate seat.

Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them.

STATEMENT ON ORLANDO ATTACKS

My fellow Atlasians, right now we're going through one of the worst tragedies in our history. We shall never forget those who lost their lives in this terrible attack and I ask all of you to keep them, their families and their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

However, while we still grieve for the victims, we shouldn't forget about those who stood behind this - the radical Islamic terrorists. They're waging a war against the Atlasia, Western civilization and the humanity, and they're not going to stop until we stand up to them and give them a proper punishment - whatever it may take us to do so.

We will remain strong. We will not surrender to the insane zealots. We shall never forgive the cowards that killed 50 Atlasians today.

God bless you and God bless Atlasia.

EXCERPTS FROM CAMPAIGN SPEECH

On the Orlando shooting and national security: "You see, that bastard may have been a citizen of Atlasia... But his ideas clearly were not - he sided with the savages that support beheading Christians, throwing gays off the roofs and burning women alive. We have to stand firm on this - and I will be pushing for stronger measures against radical Islamic terrorism in Senate - we must shut down the immigration from Middle East countries that are full of ISIS training grounds and bring back the capital punishment for terrorists."

On the game reform and new laws: "We're doing great progress in this - and I'm really glad that the Southern Committee is working hard on the government reform, so we will be able to have a more transparent and more effective system that is adequate to the needs of every citizen."

On the gun rights
: "The people's right to defend themselves against criminals shall not be infringed under any circumstances. If it wasn't for the guns, a lot of people would have been killed during the home invasions or street muggings. I will be fighting against any effort to restrict lawful firearm ownership."

On the taxes: "Atlasia's small businesses are dying under the heavy burden of taxation while the big transnational corporations are enjoying the tax breaks and crony welfare paid by the average Joe. In Senate, I will be fighting for the cutting down the tax code bureaucracy, giving the working families with children more tax cuts and closing down the loopholes for fat cats that don't want to pay taxes here."

On people with disabilities: "There are millions of Atlasians with disablities that need our help - in both daily life and politics. I've introduced the Currency Tactile Feature Act which would put the Braille designation on paper money and thus will help blind people to use it in daily life - I hope to see multi-partisan support for this."
