We asked registered voters nationwide who said they’d vote in the presidential contest in November whether they’d vote with enthusiasm for one of the presidential candidates. The overall national response: 66% yes, 21% no, 13% no opinion. Democrats: 74% yes, 17% no, 8% no opinion. Republicans: 65%, 21% no, 15% no opinion. Independents: 58% yes, 25% no, 17% no opinion. Flowers' revelations did have the potential of demolishing the Democrats chances of defeating Bush though since everyone else running was less electable than Clinton. |
