Post by: Torie on March 04, 2012, 04:10:54 PM Well if other states are hustling federal money, money as to which your state contributed disproportionately with tax receipts from your state, as Mass does, it being a net federal money export state rather than import state (as are most "liberal" states ironically, it being the more "conservative" states that are sucking on the Fed tit net), then to not join the game is unilateral disarmament, just making your balance of payments even more skewed towards your tax money being shipped to other states.
The solution is to just not ship so much fed money to states in general, if this all bothers you, or to limit the amount of money the Feds have available to ship, the latter of which we are currently doing a splendid job of achieving.
