I like a lot of Gravel's stances but am staunchly opposed to direct democracy and am nervous in lieu of understanding how his tax plans would impact government revenue and socioeconomic inequality.

And if Mike Gravel offered a coherent alternative to that, then I would support him. But his ideas for fixing the country were basically direct democracy + the FairTax.
