Title: He's done it again!
Post by: Lief 🗽 on March 12, 2012, 05:40:32 PM
Quote
"Well, you know I’m surprised to hear that Denver’s thinking about him, they’re -- I don’t want him in our neck of the woods to Miami or to the Jets," Romney said. "But I’ve got a lot of good friends, the owner Miami Dolphins, and the New York Jets — both owners are friends of mine. But let’s keep him away from New England, so Tom Brady has a better chance of picking up a championship."

Stretch the truth, say you don't follow sports closely but you have friends who do. If that's too difficult, just avoid the subject.

He's friends with the two worst owners in the NFL?  How unsurprising.

^ This.

Seriously. It's amazing how something this obvious eludes Mittbot. You and Torie need to apply to manage the Romney campaign ASAP.

This is why CEOs make sh**ty presidents.

Not because they'd be bad at the job, they just lack any sort of reasonable context.

That said, most politicians are worse, for far more nefarious reasons.

When you spend your whole life building up wealth and connections mainly for the benefit of being able to brag about it to your other wealthy friends, it's kinda hard to go cold turkey.

Romney has to constantly remind us that he's not just the 1%, but the 1% of the 1%.

There's nothing wrong with having friends in high places.

I'm sure Barack had many before he became President, and has a lot more now.
