...WHAT.

Is, uh...is this a reputable polling firm? Because if it is: WHAT.

Isn't this an internal?

Still, given the same poll had Romney up by 19...this could actually be closer than what people are saying.

Damn, I knew they should have ran Wayne Stenejhem. This would be a blowout if it was him instead.

Junk poll?

Anyway, I've never thought this election would turn into blowout for Berg.

Berg paid for an internal poll in Q1 that he never released. Pretty telling.

I believe there've been some scandals about Berg; one poll from a questionable source doesn't prove anything, but Heitkamp could well be ahead. I wonder if there could be an upset in the primary - perennial candidate Duane Sand is running against Berg, and, while he's never been elected, I seem to recall polling that showed NoDaks had a pretty positive opinion of him. It wouldn't surprise me if Sand was actually a stronger candidate than Berg. Perennial candidates do break through sometimes - that's how Bernie Sanders got his start, back in the '70s.

In 2010 US Senate- Dorgan-D decided to retire rather than face Hoeven-R.
Hoeven-R coattails plus Teaparty wave helped Berg-R unseat Pomeroy-D in the at-Large US House Seat.
Who would the Republicans run had Pomeroy-D survived the 2010 wave.

Why are you all surprised? I warned you all about this months ago.

Heidi Heitkamp is probably the single most popular and beautiful politician in all of South Dakota. I will be floored if she loses.

I feel like it's much closer than this. Outlier probably.

But she's from ND. People in SD probably don't know her, so I won't be floored if she runs for something in SD and loses ;)

Indeed, politicians have accurate internals that they keep to themselves & internals with a narrative that they release to get money from donors. People don't think that they relied on PPP for the state of the race, do they? ;)

If you have an internal poll that shows you ahead in a race where all the public polling has you behind, you're most definitely going to release the topline numbers at least. Especially in a race that people think you should be winning like this one. The fact that these polls have gone unanswered is a clear indicator the Berg internal is saying the same thing.
