Since just about every "type" of person has had some member who has committed murder, or been involved in a murder-suicide, we can generalize your "point" to note that every group out there is "dangerous!" What that doesn't prove is whether, or not, "teabagger types" are any more "dangerous" than the general population. What a scumbag. Russell Pearce is not as bad, but still terrible. I'm ashamed that Arizona leaders in the LDS Church (my own faith) let the racist Pearce baptize and ordain that Neo-Nazi Ready into our membership.

It depends on what they are being accused of by folks and why. I could see there being sets of circumstances under which I would feel compelled to "defend" them in one way or another, even though I do not think border militias should exist.

It would seem that a false accusation that Jason Ready was one of their "leaders" when in fact he had been expelled on his first day and told never to come back is one such set of circumstances.
