Also, I like how the article defending the proposed amendment doesn't even cite its frivolous "studies" and falls back on weak, superficial arguments to support its position. But then again, I have yet to hear a logical case for why the government should control peoples' lives like this.

Post by: Frodo on May 05, 2012, 12:06:47 PM Despite my personal opposition to gay marriage, I would vote against this amendment as it goes too far. Also, like Sanchez, I believe that it should be the states deciding the issue -not the Supreme Court. And in any case, this argument over federalism is moot -the Supreme Court in its current makeup will not legalize gay marriage, even less so if Romney wins the White House along with a Republican Senate.

I would vote against Amendment One because I believe that all people are created equal and are entitled to equal protection of the law.
