The first-term senator is introducing himself to voters in key primary states this month, a sign he may be more interested in a future White House bid than the No. 2 spot on Mitt Romney’s ticket.

Rubio’s choice of speaking engagements is no accident: The much-sought-after senator turns down dozens of invitations and hundreds of media requests each month.

So he thinks visiting a State four years before the contest somehow increases his chances of eventually winning it ?

will be interesting to see christie and rubio trying to subtly undercut the other starting as soon as this year.

how important will winning iowa and south carolina be next time?  before this year no republican had been nominated without winning sc.  but this year, the south carolina winner crashed and burned right after (and that ended up the only reason the iowa winner became relevant.)  and the only republican presidential nominees who won iowa- dole, w- were already frontrunners before iowa.  and i'd be surprised if more states don't jump into january next time after florida did it with impunity.
