White type may be easier to read, but small type is easier to notice. See my point about the end of sentences? Maybe define small type as anything less than 5pt? Title: Re: SENATE BILL: Amendment to Discourage Small Type Use (Debating) Post by: Kaine for Senate '18 on May 23, 2012, 05:27:57 PM I propose an Amendment:
Quote Section 2: Small type shall be defined as type smaller than 5 pt. NC Yankee- the "nipple rings" section is in jest...how about if I amend to a resolution kindly asking folks not to use below 5 point type? Title: Re: SENATE BILL: Amendment to Discourage Small Type Use (Debating) Post by: Southern Senator North Carolina Yankee on May 24, 2012, 11:38:59 AM The nipple rings was the most obvious problem for sure, since that is functionally impossible.
The impractical concern was the structure as a Constitutional Amendment. Resolution is probably the best way to approach this. Senators have 24 hours to object to Ben's amendment. Title: Re: SENATE BILL: Amendment to Discourage Small Type Use (At Final Vote) Post by: Southern Senator North Carolina Yankee on June 03, 2012, 06:06:51 PM Vote on final passage of the Resolution to Discourage Small Type Use:
Aye (1): Clarence Nay (5): AndrewPA, Ben, ILV, NC Yankee and Wormyguy Abstain (2): Scott and Seatown Didn't Vote (2): sbane and TJ in Cleve With two abstention, I beleive I can call 24 hours on this. So, this has enough votes to fail, senators have 24 hours to change their votes. Though I would have prefered that the two AWOL Senators have voted on the matter so that I don't have to rely on such technicallities.
