Miles, by that logic Brown and Udall should be Lincoln'd. :P

Merkley is kind of like the Sherrod Brown of Oregon.

Republicans really don't have a strong bench here and I doubt they will have a competitive challenger against him (or Kitzhaber assuming he runs for another term) in 2014.

Actually, no, no that is in fact a surprise. I'd be immensely interested to see what metrics and definitions the National Journal is using here.

Mitch McConnell more conservative than Marco Rubio? CMR more conservative than Paul Ryan? Bob Casey to Bernie Sanders' left? Something is seriously effed up with their methodology.
