I hope not, so that she can on Fox and attack Romney mercilessly in an act of spiteful revenge.

She will likely get an early evening address, and go on to do what Lief predicted later on in the evening while on Hannity.

If she does, it means GOP internal polling is showing a weakness with the base. If she doesn't, it means there's no real problem with the base and they can use someone who will appeal more to the independents and moderates out there.

Besides, Palin might be needed at the custody hearing for her grandson depending on when that is scheduled to come up.

No way. The GOP doesn't want to further tarnish the image of the convention...

When is the last time the former VP nominee of a party not spoken at the next convention without an actual scandal ala Edwards 2008?

Priebus says he's OK with it but the final call is Romney's. Oof. But hopefully not a primetime one.

I don't see how Romney says no at this point.  And there really is nothing to gain by not asking her to speak (as long as it's a short speech, and not in primetime).  If she isn't asked to speak, then the media will keep harping on it, and it'll be a distraction.

If this patriot is not given a chance to speak, she will make herself the center of attention somewhere other than Tampa during the convention. Fox News probably won't abet her, but she'll find something to do, and cameras love her.
