What is your sexuality?

Heterosexual.

Very bisexual. I have avoided the wrong side of the tracks just for the sake of my reputation, but I really have no objections to it. Very little experience, I do have...but who the hell knows what could unfold? I guess that doesn't count as full-on BI, bi-curious maybe? Although I don't really see myself actually doing anything homolicious, just accepting. So I voted uncertain.

I wouldn't characterize that as "very" bisexual :P  Yes, bi-curious seems appropriate.

I am "heteroflexible," and wouldn't describe myself as bi-curious since I have a clear understanding of what is attractive to me. For the purposes of this poll I picked heterosexual because - at least in practice - those aspects of my sexuality strongly overshadow those which are bisexual.

In terms of gender I identify as male but have little interest in conforming to "masculine" cultural expectations. As with other aspects of my identity and preferences, I try to march to the beat of my own drum and try not to get insecure (occasionally with success) about how others react. xD

I'm usually more attracted to women than to men, but I hate the term "heterosexual" - it's impersonal, antierotic, and is in fundamental opposition to "homosexual" in a way I don't identify with.

since I am as of yet still lacking in knowledge, I'll consider myself uncertain.

Very hetero in preference, but in practice as much as 5% the other due to the amazingly 'passable' ladyboys of Thailand.  Nowadays I have about 15-20 encounters per month, and normally only one at most will be with a faux rather than biological female (interestingly, the latter is usually free as of late, for me).

I like women actually but I've chosen "uncertain" because I don't like this type of classifications. First: because "heterosexual" sounds a bit uncertain to me and, second: because I think that sexual orientation it's not the main defining value of a personality.

second: because I think that sexual orientation it's not the main defining value of a personality.

The topic is not a "what personality are you?" question. It is specifically asking about sexuality. Please take this "being gay doesn't mean a thing!" stuff to at least a more appropriate place.

Title: Re: Sexuality
Post by: Velasco on August 10, 2012, 06:50:21 AM
My apologies, it wasn't my intention to start a debate on such issues. I didn't say anything about the meaning of being a gay and in my opinion it has a meaning, other personality matters have also a meaning. So, sorry. My intention was only to explain my vote.

PS: On the other hand I understand "sexuality" is a broader concept than "sexual orientation" and this is the reason why I mentioned "personality". I don't want to create misunderstandings so, if you think that is not appropiate I'll delete that part and problem solved.

Fine, but I think that Marokai wasn't bullying me; he simply understood that I meant that homosexuality is questionable and I'm far away from thinking such things. That's the reason why I made my apologies.

Just because I have my own thoughts, I'm far away from describing myself as a standard heterosexual male, despite my sexual orientation, for reasons that are too long to explain and may be not too much adequate for this thread.

No, buddy.  I do have an ex who is essentially still in love with me, who I see sometimes, and a 'gik' - an 'older woman' (roughly my own age), and those are both 'free', but the free ladyboy I talk about is someone whose name I don't know, as well as not having her phone number.. just that whenever I stop by her shop she invariably proposes a 'freebie'.  (She's no longer in the game as such anyway, having been set up with an internet shop by an indulgent 'papa'). She's about 23 or 24, slim, willowy (on hormones) and very passable, having undergone second floor renovations but not first floor.  I have to confess I'm flattered by the attention but get comparatively little from the actual sex.

My best relations are still with semi-pros- I have two regulars (yes, real women) who are absolutely fantastic.  Really passionate stuff which match or better anything I had with girlfriends in the US.

Oh I don't think I've ever really liked the series, but from my perspective the series stopped being innovative or even particularly relevant to the rest of game development after the N64. Zelda games these days tend to be hours longer than they deserve to be (Twilight Princess, for example), and I have the same opinion of the series that I do of most Nintendo games these days; in a vacuum where no other video game systems exist they're totally awesome, but they're sort of pitiful when stacked up against the competition.

We certainly have had a lot of these polls over the years.  The forum has always had a large number of gay posters, however, I'm a bit surprised at the bi #s. Admittedly, I still don't "get"  bi inclinations.  It took me a while to overcome some prejudices against gays so...I guess I'll evolve on the matter.

you know what's bizarre? i had a conversation just the other day with someone about exactly this. is there a haircut that's less associated with homosexuality than dreads? i can't think of one. although maybe that has to do with the stereotyping of all homo/bisexual men as white...
