Title: Bob Ehrlich 2008? Post by: Akno21 on January 31, 2005, 07:26:11 PM Assuming he gets re-elected in 2006 (big if) would he win nationwide for President?
No, and he wouldn't carry Maryland. Title: Re: Bob Ehrlich 2008? Post by: Keystone Phil on January 31, 2005, 07:27:18 PM I think he could win. Look for him to be on the short list of whoever is the GOP Presidential nominee in '08.
Title: Re: Bob Ehrlich 2008? Post by: Moooooo on January 31, 2005, 07:59:02 PM The guy cant get sh*t done in one state. How could he get things done across the country?
However, it looks like he will get re-elected in 2006. O'Malley is to liberal for most of the counties. Duncan is our best shot and 3/4 of the people in the state never heard of the guy. Still, its going to be close regardless of the Dem nominee. If Ehrlich is re-elected it will only be by about 2-3%. Title: Re: Bob Ehrlich 2008? Post by: Jake on January 31, 2005, 08:00:49 PM Ehrlich should make the worst governor list every year he's in office. Plus he has horrible commercials :P
Title: Re: Bob Ehrlich 2008? Post by: Nation on January 31, 2005, 10:41:10 PM God help me if my choice in 2006 is Ehrlich or O'Malley --- I'd probably vote Libertarian.

Who else do you think can get the Democratic nomination? Montgomery County Executive Doug Duncan looks like a strong candidate, but nobody outside of MoCo knows the guy. Ive heard Ben Cardin may run, but like Duncan I really dont know a whole lot about him. Title: Re: Bob Ehrlich 2008? My first choice to run against Ehrlich would be Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, but he was just re-elected to the house. I doubt very much he has even thought about running. Why don't you like O'Malley? And I say no, he's still too socially liberal, and he couldn't bring Maryland or any other normally Democratic state. Title: Re: Bob Ehrlich 2008? Post by: Moooooo on February 01, 2005, 02:03:01 PM Why don't you like O'Malley? Im not answering for him, but O'Malley really hasnt done much in the city that would make him worthy to be Governor. Murders are still up, he cant decide on a police cheif, and the schools still suck. There is probably some good stuff to go along with the bad, but I really cant think of anything. Title: Re: Bob Ehrlich 2008? Post by: WalterMitty on February 01, 2005, 03:13:23 PM ehrlich would be a strong candidate. i could go along wiht an ehrich candidacy.

There aren't many cities in worse shape than Baltimore, keep that in mind. Title: Re: Bob Ehrlich 2008? Post by: Rob on February 01, 2005, 10:02:58 PM Does anyone have Ehrlich's approval ratings?
