Title: Political Party Buttons Post by: WiseGuy on March 15, 2005, 01:22:45 PM I was playing around with some ideas for buttons this morning and came up with these:
() () () () () () () Note: I didn't make one for the Atlasian Conservative Party or the Republican party because of the pending merger. Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Peter on March 15, 2005, 01:27:16 PM You didn't make one for the Independent Liberal Party either.
Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Joe Republic on March 15, 2005, 01:29:37 PM You didn't make one for the Independent Liberal Party either. Unfortunate about the glaring typo though. Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Gabu on March 15, 2005, 01:31:08 PM Spelling "Independent" correctly might make them take to the button a bit better. :) Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: WiseGuy on March 15, 2005, 01:42:10 PM Oops, must've accidentally missed the 'e' :p All fixed now.
Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Peter on March 15, 2005, 01:45:58 PM Who's on the coin?
Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Gabu on March 15, 2005, 01:47:10 PM Who's on the coin? Yes. Now ask me what's on the back of the coin. :D Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: WiseGuy on March 15, 2005, 01:57:46 PM Who's on the coin? FDR. He's the first liberal that came to mind. If you don't like it, I can change it. Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: KEmperor on March 15, 2005, 04:14:39 PM FDR is on the front of the dime. The reverse has a torch, an olive branch, and an oak branch.
Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Siege40 on March 15, 2005, 05:54:11 PM The ILP's logo is weak.

Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Cashcow on March 15, 2005, 09:20:11 PM I like it. But the font doesn't match. It should be something quieter, but not ugly, like TNR.

Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Cashcow on March 15, 2005, 10:08:40 PM I love it. Others might not. If I weren't an independent (can you make one of those? :P), I'd definitely use one of your banners, because they're all excellent.
Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: 7,052,770 on March 15, 2005, 11:33:43 PM Nice job. I like 'em.
Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: WiseGuy on March 16, 2005, 07:04:05 AM Thanks to you both! This one's for you, cashcow:
() Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Siege40 on March 16, 2005, 06:00:18 PM A coin is a poor symbol. Sadly there is no 'liberal' symbol. Peter and I had a discussion about that. Regrettable. Besides, FDR is... well FDR, and on the nickel. I prefer having forest animals on my coins.
Siege Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Gabu on March 16, 2005, 06:01:46 PM If anyone has any suggestions on what they would like, I could try giving it a go. I made the Freedom Party's logo (on a whim, but they liked it).
Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Siege40 on March 16, 2005, 06:06:03 PM I would prefer stylized text over graphics. Something that says we like raising taxes, and murdering babies. ;)

Siege40 specifically requested that text, actually. :) I added the ghosted text to make them look extra-scary, however. ;) Title: Re: Political Party Buttons Post by: Frodo on March 17, 2005, 02:10:39 AM I would prefer stylized text over graphics. I would actually accept migrendel even though he is totally insane because whilst I expect that most members would disagree with some of his more unique positions, he has never done anything corrupt to my knowledge.
