I say no, but he can put up a fight. No pun intended.

Ventura was able to pull off a shocker in 1998. He did it by appealing to young voters from 18-21 years old. He could do it again.

Nationally?  No.  Statewide...maybe.  Please clarify.

Ventura is undoubtedly the sorriest excuse for a governor I have ever seen.  He managed to aggravate Democrats and Republicans alike.  He would not have been re-elected, had he run for a second term.

If Jesse were to run for President, I think there are people of both political persuasions who would be silly enough to vote for him.  I doubt he would win any EV, though.

Ventura is exactly what we need more of.  Someone who upsets the cart and tells extremists to shove it.

Nationally the media played up his appeal to young voters. I know that many older voters of both parties were unhappy with the choices and locked onto Ventura after his three-way debates in the last month before the election.

Trust me... you guys never lived in/near MN... we do not need Ventura, but the fact he won as a 3rd party... we do need.

Oh god please, what a scary thought.  All I can say is I hope he doesn't do it.  He proved his incompetence as an elected leader here in Minnesota.

If he does though, he'll take some votes from both sides, but end up with no EV.  Really hard to say which party would get hit worst.

Can he win a statewide election in Minnesota? No.

Can he win a state senate seat somewhere? Probably.

My guess is that his celiling in a national election is probably about 3%.
