I support this.

This amendment does move that process along. However, I will remind the Assembly that election in December are still held on the second weekend of the month, as opposed to the third in other months.
If the Assembly wishes to continue this arrangement, might I suggest changing the language to something like the following: Quote Candidates for Legislative Assembly will be given until the Wednesday preceding the first date of polling in the election they wish to contest to announce their candidacy and appear on the ballot. This is to be done by officially declaring his or her's candidacy in the Candidate Declaration Thread. I asked cynic to introduce this because for too many elections active and eager candidates are kept off the ballot because they declared too late. Not only does this discourage people it also makes the ballot a mess of write ins.
