Presidential matchup between comedians Jerry Senfeld and Denis Leary.
If you have a comedian (who is more conservative) who can also go up against Seinfeld...try them too.
The Election Night
7:00pm
Kentucky closes first, and goes quickly for Denis Leary. Indiana is soon after called for Denis Leary as well. Pundits initially believe that Leary will perform better in traditionally Republican states.
Vermont is the first state called for Seinfeld, soon after the other two states. The state was expected to be competitive, and turned out 55-45 for Seinfeld in the end.
8:00pm
As 8:00 rolls around, both camps are excited, obviously, to see the results. The Leary campaign had been competitive in New England, and surprisingly in Leary's home state of Massachusetts. Pundits believe that Leary's campaign had a better ability to expand the map, despite Seinfeld's better name recognition and favorability.
Alabama is called for Leary along with Missouri , West Virginia and Tennessee. South Carolina is called for Leary soon after -- with Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio, Georgia still uncalled.
Illinois is the first state of the 8:00 hour called for Seinfeld and, in the first surprise of the night, Florida goes for Seinfeld 56-44.
Maine's more northern congressional district goes for Leary with the other congressional district uncalled, along with the state as a whole.

As 9:00pm rolls around, the Seinfeld campaign is starting to sweat. They thought they'd squeak it out in New England but Leary leads in all outstanding New England states. North Carolina falls to Leary along with Georgia.
Kansas, Colorado, Louisiana are all called for Leary. The Leary camp rejoices at Colorado which had been considered one of the most competitive swing states. Maine is called for Leary, but the other congressional district goes to Seinfeld.

In a huge loss for the Seinfeld camp, Massachusetts is called for Leary -- the Seinfeld camp clings to a small lead in Connecticut but it remains uncalled. Maryland is called, 53-57, for Seinfeld.

California is called for Seinfeld quickly along with Oregon and Washington. Arizona is called for Leary along with Idaho and North Dakota.
Ohio is called for Leary in a blow to the Seinfeld camp. Virginia and Connecticut remain uncalled -- Seinfeld is down narrowly in Connecticut and Leary is up narrowly in Virginia with much of northern Virginia not reporting.
