It's not even that. What irritates me is that he tries to pass off actual right-wing views and moves to the right of the general consensus as "moderation". To be honest, he's not a "horrible person" - it's just that he's more of a Kelly Ayotte than an Andrew Cuomo (which I find honestly more irritating than actual moderate heroes).
