Title: DC Madame Scandal - Who Is It?
Post by: NeverAgain on March 29, 2016, 08:46:41 PM
http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-03-28/dc-madams-attorney-says-call-log-bombshell-could-upend-presidential-race

Rachel Maddow just reported on this.

Quote
A lawyer who represented the so-called “D.C. madam” says he has phone records that could influence the outcome of the presidential election, and he’s threatening to release one or more names on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court if he’s denied a hearing on his right to distribute them.

Montgomery Blair Sibley, the late madam Deborah Palfrey’s colorful attorney, has been subject to a restraining order since 2007 barring him from releasing the information, which he says includes 815 names, addresses and Social Security numbers of Verizon Wireless customers.

“Time is of the essence because people are casting votes in primaries and caucuses,” he says. “I believe this information is relevant to that political discourse.”

Sibley first said the records could be relevant to the presidential race in January, when there were 15 high-profile candidates. Now, just three Republicans and two Democrats remain – though Sibley won’t say if any are implicated, citing fear of being jailed for contempt.

I seriously have no clue who it would be. If anything it's Bernie, but he's not the handsomest and like I just don't see him cheating on Jane, he doesn't have it in him, plus why report it now?

Cruz (Houston), Kasich (Lehman Bros), and Trump (NYC) weren't living in DC.  Sanders seems pretty unlikely, as does Hillary.

I'd look at staffers and others closely affiliated with the five campaigns that were working or living in DC at the time - Bill?!?

They said it was a specific candidate, and not their staffs. Cruz also traveled lots to D.C. as SG, Kasich was a U.S. Representative and lived in D.C. for many years, and Trump traveled to D.C. on a weekly basis so it could have all been them. Hillary, unless she's just REALLY good at playing it straight, I think she's in the clear. Bernie, I mean come on. Nah. I think if it is anyone it's one of the Republicans, that seems to be her fetish anyways.

It's Cruz. Atlas seems completely oblivious about what's been going on around him in the past few days.

It's obviously Cruz.  Trump doesn't need prostitutes, he can get any woman he wants.  Same for Bill Clinton.  Kasich and Sanders don't seem like the kind of guys who would be visiting prostitutes, plus Kasich was at Lehman Brothers in NYC which has better prostitutes than DC anyway.

Remember one of the two missing Cruz mistresses was a "high class DC prostitute" sounds about right.

Hmm... unfortunately the one that seems most likely, just based on who was a male living in DC at the time, is Sanders. But of course Cruz/Kasich/Trump could have done it on visits to DC.

If it actually is a real scandal, it's the Ted Cruz.

Although, I wouldn't be too surprised if it were Little Marco; he managed to get third place in AZ despite dropping out beforehand.

Says a lot about this forum that a majority of voters have picked someone who didn't live in DC in 2007.

It isn't like the forum was picking someone who didn't spend any time in D.C

It's interesting that Trump seems to not be a popular guess, despite his dubious moral compass.

Why would Donald Trump want to pay for sex? He's Donald Trump, he has all the sex he wants with as many women as he wants.

In case anyone is seriously thinking it might be Hillary (despite knowing her husband's own affair hurt him, and her being more cautious/thoughtful in general... and probably not being a lesbian)
... she was running for President in 2008 and this guy wasn't trying to do this then.

Title: Re: DC Madame Scandal - Who Is It?

Also, Trump didn't exactly spend a lot of time in DC during the time period in question.

If people are insinuating that Cruz wasn't in D.C. in 2007, that's right. However, my understanding is that the phone numbers and names go back years, and cover periods way before 2007. Guess who was living in D.C. until 2003? Ted Cruz (everybody should know this, thanks to his wife having a public breakdown over having to move to Texas).

I think its more that Trump has been encouraging it, so obviously it isn't true. (Because Trump is a compulsive liar, in case that wasn't clear.)

When I was watching this on 'The Rachel Maddow Show' the first name that popped into my head was Lying Rafael, given the rumors about him as well as the current mini scandal involving him. This also makes me rethink what Trump was implying about "spilling the beans" about Ted's wife...

Maybe she had a breakdown over his cheating. It would be absolutely lethal to his campaign if there were actual proof of him having extramarital affair. The effect would be even stronger because of his earlier adamant denial. And Trump's numbers would shoot through the roof.

The case to lift the gag order has been added to the Supreme Court docket. Sibley says that he will release them anyway, if the Supreme Court either declines to hear the case, or rules that the gag order stands.  (http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/dc-madam-gag-order-added-to-scotus-docket-657276483519)He also says that he has a 'dead man's switch' on the records. Meaning that they are already uploaded to different servers, and he has to enter a password every 72 hours, or they will be automatically sent out to various reporters.

If I had to guess, I'd wager we find out if there's anything interesting in those records pretty soon.

The most shocking and scandalous part would not even be that Bernie Sanders was having sex with someone other than his wife - it would be that he was paying for it.
