I can't support this bill.

Great ideas, although I kind of feel that 1b and especially 1a are more regional matters than federal ones. Now, I would certainly agree with those at the regional level, but I think we should do this via a constitutional framework. I'd be happy to be proven wrong. :P

Of course, I hope we see debate and amendments on this bill, as I do with every bill. As always, I encourage everyone to explain their objections and try to make the bill better.

Seems like the federal government would have a necessary role in terms of the importation of drugs into the nation, and with the sale or transfer of drugs between regions.

Also, while I'd like to see there be no laws criminalizing drug use or possession anywhere, do we have the constitutional authority to prohibit regions from making laws about this?

There has been no debate in over six days. We will immediately move to a final vote, barring any objections.

Nay. The regions should have the right to decide, in terms of drugs, what is legal and otherwise.

Aye. I think it is high time we move drugs from the criminal justice system to the medical system where it damn belongs. I will be working to do this in the Criminal Justice Committee and attempting to regulate this after (if) this bill passes.

Rep. DKrol's vote will decide the outcome of this bill.

If you want to regulate drugs at the federal level, this law would go against that, wouldn't it?

This bill fails 4-4, with Rep. DKrol not voting.
