This thread is for the archiving of threads deemed culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.  Please only contribute threads (preferably ones that have not been posted in for long periods of time) that have had a profound impact on the forum community at large.

That is part of the reason why Lunar was the best poster in forum history.

Many threads on the International Elections board (just visit the board and you have a huge selection of great threads in front of you), particularly the ones devoted to maps and demographics. Also, it's a very neat and tidy board - you can easily find the lengthy, singular discussion threads on, say, the 2008 Canadian federal election, or the 2013 German federal election - whereas on the U.S. election boards things are more scattered. Election night discussion is also widely available as the forum generally doesn't crash on non-U.S. election nights.

Large parts of it were deleted by fascist moderators, but I firmly believe this is the best thread in forum history:

(As an aside, I thought it was a good idea to read this through in a club meeting, but I broke down at the part where Kennedy is shot five times in the head during a meeting with the Polaqi PM. It was awk.)

(I have read people saying that Larry J. Sabato used to lurk on Atlas, but they didn't seem to intend that he actually had an account)

Roger Stone made a few posts on AAD, if it counts.

Otherwise, yeah. We've had quite a few Atlas posters go on to become officeholders but Ravnsborg is by far the highest ranking.
