Title: President Forever Atlas Champions Round 2 wildcard round
Post by: TheWildCard on May 06, 2004, 12:30:20 PM
If there are no more sign ups in the next  1 and a half hours(which I doubt) these will be the match ups for the Wildcard round the highest scorer from this round will get a bye...

And let me just remind all of you that if you win it doesn't mean you advance there has to be an equal number of dem.s and rep.s so if for example we had 4 players 2 reps 2 dems and both dems won then the highest scoring dem would advance and the same would go for the highest scoring republican loser

Lundgren/Edwards vs Arage/McCain

MHS2002 v Nclib
MHS2002/The Great Biclops vs Nclib/Keptur

We're fairly close to each other, so I guess it would be a battle of low turnout...all the Conservatives and Liberals staying at home... ;)

And YOU are going down! ;)

WHAT?!?

Everyone knows the game is skewed to the GOP (because Bush is inumbent, its built into the game that there is a GOP advantage) but that is just completely unreasonable.

I hope I win to turn around the misfortune of my party, but if Gus can't, i'm worried :(

I've been defeated as Bush in the 2004 senerio.  The only benefit given to the GOP is the economy (if it is good, if it is bad, then you are screwed).

There is a scew to the GOP, that doesnt mean it always wins. And not just the economy, the nation is a little more conservative in this scenario. I'm not complaining, it makes sense. But I don't hav to like it.

Yes!!!!!  By why do I keep loseing Tennessee?  Is it because I supported Toomey?  :(

Wildcard, do you have the up dated version?  In the old version Tennessee never went Republican, but in the new one it is fairly reliably Republican.

Well could you direct me to where I can get the new version? I might have it and I may not...
I am refering to the version that he sent out sometime ago.  Did you get an e-mail for it?  The one that included the original senerios.

Okay thats a problem I've never gotten any e-mails from the company ever... that sucks...

Me neither.  That's why I monitor http://www.hotpotsoftware.com/pforever (http://www.hotpotsoftware.com/pforever).

Thanks so much man! Sorry guys but I'm going to have to declare all results null and void and we'll start over with the good version.

You're welcome.  That is great, isn't it :D

And I don't mind the voidness ;) :D

Also guys sorry it will take a little while for us to get back to where we were(I need to re-create everyones character but we will have the punching bag round to look forward to)

Now I'll also run a few tests and see if this versions any kinder with economy on... And also does anyone have an opinion on the regionalism option?

Regionalism is good... it allows for more realism... with a different kind of 'bias' that makes it more realistic.

I think regionalism is good...voters in North Dakota probably aren't going to have the same views as those in California

It says that the URL can't be found on the server either.  Can anyone give me a link that works?

Read the posts.

I think regionalism sounds good and I think economy shoud be turned off.

We want it to be as realistic and generic as possible.

I've done quite a bit of study and practice races and it would seem the dem.s best chance at winning is with regionalism, Spies, and Dynamic on.... Otherwise a Moderate Democrat gets pounded by a Moderate Republican
