As your constituent, and as a citizen who voted for you both, I am writing to urge you to introduce legislation on the Senate floor granting the right to same sex couples to marry. Civil unions would be a step in the right direction, and I would support legislation for civil unions for same sex couples. However, if this Senate could pass a bill granting full equality to same sex couples, that would be a historic milestone. This is an issue with some personal significance to me. As you are both respected members of the Atlas Forum Senate, I urge you to act. It is not an equal rights bill, but the decleration of a hate war on homosexuals. This bill will create great masses of people to hate homosexuals, thus causing them danger. I've never actually sat through either of these films, but I believe there were two: "Fritz the Cat" and "The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat." These were made by Ralph Bakshi, famous for many other animated films of the 70's era. Although I haven't seen these movies, I say with some confidence that they would not warrant an X rating by today's standards- probably R. If you're interested in more info, do a Googol or Yahoo search- thats how I found the picture. The only reason its in my signature is to be cute and funny. |
