Any forrumers from CO or who are very familiar with the CO scene care to give us the skinny on these two - brief summary of their politics, how much of a chance either would have against Udall? Both John Suthers and Bob Schaffer have their respective weaknesses. Suthers was barely elected in 2006 against weak opposition while Schaffer is a conservative in the mould of Marilyn Musgrave - he represented CO-4 in Congress. Udall's chances of a comfortable victory increase - if this is true.

Additionally, former Sen. Bill Armstrong, known as the "godfather" of the state GOP, isn't backing him, and has thrown his support behind former U.S. Rep. Bob Schaffer - who hasn't decided whether he is running. It also doesn't help McInnis that new CO-GOP Chair Dick Wadhams has such a close personal relationship with former Rep.
