FDR died just a month and a half into his fourth term, but if he had still been living, would he have won in 1948? Would he have even run?

The victory in WWII wouldve given FDR moe than enough room to score a fifth term, and by that point, he wouldve been iconic enough to pretty much run it out Julius Caesar style.

FDR wouldn't have won a fifth term, had he have ran. If he wouldn't have ran, the Republicans would have taken back the White House.

He wouldn't have won... He expressed a want to see the end of WWII, and he explicitly stated he wouldn't run again...
He would've won if he wanted it though... No one from that era could be the master politician. Not Dewey, not Taft, not Warren, not any of them.

I'm going to break the trend and say no. All things considered, Dewey did pretty well in 1944, in fact, the war is probably the only reason he didn't defeat FDR. That's a big reason, but I don't think a post-war America would like FDR anymore just because the war was over. Also, people in post-war America would not have thought too much of FDR's "let's just do it now and worry about the results later" style. People would have wanted spending reigned in, and they would not have taken well to any grand expiriments in any other areas. The reason people liked Truman was because he brought the economy under control and calmed the country down while providing a model for stability. Even if FDR were in good health, people would have been ready for someone else. I think FDR goes down in a narrow, but still clear defeat to Taft, Warren (who would have won by the widest margin) or Dewey.

FDR would have lost to Dewey or Taft.
America would absolutely not accept any President for a fifth consecutive term.
By that time, it would appear to be more of a monarchy than a republic.

I'm leaning towards saying he's winning but I can definitely see him losing in Churchillian style.
