Likely Republican, unless Thompson gets the nom. I'm hoping the Libertarians draft Paul or something, and he gets some marginal support.

Democratic.

The policies of the current GOP have led us to a gigantic deficit, needless casualties overseas, and our number one enemy is just growing stronger. If the Republicans nominated someone who didn't continue the policies of the current administration I may vote for them but that won't happen since the "top three" are all the same.

I knew you couldn't look like Daniel Craig and be a Republican.  RINO!

You do realize that if you elect another "stay the course" Republican, it'll just continue to destroy your party's credibility.

i agree with kucinich on a number of issues, including health care and a handgun ban.

but he is anti-trade and anti-israel.  i cannot go along with those positions.

i am still hoping this election could spawn some kind of centrist third party opposition, but if not then the Dems. Cant buy into the whole program, but a new party will flush all the Bushies out of the system

take note of phil's tone.  he, like most republicans, think the plight of the lower income americans is a big joke.

I'm rooting for whichever candidates I think will be best.  But part of me would enjoy seeing the Republicans pummeled again, on a presidential level.

I like you, Walter, but it's nonsense like this that gets me frustrated.

There was nothing in my "tone" to suggest I think the plight of lower income Americans is a "big joke." You are the joke in this case, Walter. You go on and on about the working families but it seems like you think the true champion of those families is the joke.

Why not support Kucinich, Walter? "He doesn't stand a chance." Newsflash from the real world - Neither does Dodd.

Republican for the most part. If they pull out a far right horrible person I could see myself voting Democrat if they are moderate enough though I doubt it will happen.

My only chances of rooting for the Dems in 2008 were if Bayh or Warner ran and if the GOP nominated someone I didn't like (like Romney).

Unless Paul wins the Republican Nomination, Constitution Party (which is larger than and finished ahead of the Green Party and based on a technicality is also larger than the Libertarian Party).

Of course since this forum is heavily Democrat I have to guess this poll's results will show that.

I'm not ruling out anything but probably not. If Hillary was the nominee I would probably vote for a third party. I suppose "Not GOP" would be who I'm supporting.

I don't really like what the Republicans have been doing lately.   But the Democrat party ranks second right behind the Boston Red Sox on my "people or things that totally disgust me" list.   And since all the third parties out there kind of, well suck, then I guess I'll have to say Republican.   I won't be sending the Republican party any money though like I did in 2004.

I hate the idea of one party control of the government - but I also can not abid the idea of four more years of what we are currently getting from our President. My hopes that the GOP would reject what Bush has done are too faint to even grasp at this point.

I'd love to see a serious 3rd party candidate with a real chance of winning - but that also seems to be a pipe dream at this point.

It appears I will end up voting for something I find distasteful in '08, that's a shame.

Well, A Republican victory (unless Dr. aul somehow wins the nom) would only be rewarding the GOP for straying from its limited government principles. But a Democratic victory would only be rewarding it for having big government prinicples. Libertarian it is.

i don't root for parties, b/c politics is a little bit more serious than sports--so i don't just pick teams on a whim.  of course i'll never support fascists, but that doesn't mean i'll support the democrat.  after all, i care about more than bedroom issues (especially if i'm being robbed from the kitchen).

Well I don't like Huckabee on the same level as say Paul or a Libertarian for that matter, but he seems like a decent enough person. Not an empty suit. But to tell you the truth, I haven't studied him as much as I should.

Democratic, because of the GOP's constant pandering to the Religious Right, deficit spending and neo-Con stances on the War on Terror. The GOP would need to nominate someone like Chuck Hagel for me to even considering voting for them.

I know Libertarians have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning, but I still gotta hope.

If Ron Paul gets the R Presidential Nom (again, snowball in Hell), I will definitely be voting R.  May even be changing registration just so I can vote in the Primary for Dr. Paul.
