Title: Alaska Wildlife Protection Bill [Withdrawn] Post by: Sam Spade on July 24, 2007, 10:03:40 PM Alaskan Wildlife Protection Bill
F.L. 6-21 is repealed. (Sponsor: Ebowed) Title: Re: Alaska Wildlife Protection Bill Post by: Sam Spade on July 24, 2007, 10:04:17 PM Quite naturally I oppose this. I will have an amendment in a day or so.
Title: Re: Alaska Wildlife Protection Bill Post by: Colin on July 24, 2007, 10:20:58 PM Let me just say that this would almost certainly be vetoed if it is passed.
Title: Re: Alaska Wildlife Protection Bill Post by: DownWithTheLeft on July 25, 2007, 08:23:57 AM I ask given the fact that this bill certainly has nowhere near the amount of support to override a veto, that it is withdrawn
Title: Re: Alaska Wildlife Protection Bill Post by: Sam Spade on July 25, 2007, 09:35:17 AM My amendment:
The text of this bill shall be replaced with the following wording: 1. Section 4 of F.L. 6-21 is repealed. 2. Section 5 of F.L. 6-21 shall be replaced with the following language: All revenues received by said leasing in FY 2006 and in future Fiscal Years may be authorized by the Senate in future legislation to either fund research into alternative energy resources (e.g. coal, nuclear energy, etc.) through the Energy Sub-Department of the Department of Treasury and Social Services or to give targeted tax credits to companies involved in the research of said alternative energy resources.
